Beach/Semi-formal attire: Men: suits or linen suits, button downs/dress shirts with trousers or khakis with loafers. Ties are optional (the groom is NOT wearing one). Women: Sundresses, maxi dresses or cocktail dresses and sandals, block heels or wedges. Whatever you feel most comfortable in! The ceremony will take place on the beach in the sand. The reception will be in a large palapa (not on sand). Goes without saying but it will be hot in Mexico in May, dress accordingly!
The drive is ~30 minutes South of Playa del Carmen to the wedding venue at Blue Venado Seaside. Vans each hold 14 guests. If driving there yourself please ensure you are navigating to Blue Venado Seaside. They have other venues so "Seaside" is the key distinction. Unless we have spoken to you separately, all guests will be picked up and dropped off from the Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen. Please arrive at the Grand Hyatt prior to the pickup time of 4:30 PM. Guests should arrive at the venue around ~5 PM, with the ceremony beginning promptly at 5:30 PM. If you are taking your own transportation please keep this timing in mind. There will be transportation back to your place of pickup at 1AM. Should guests want to leave earlier, transportation can be arranged separately at any point during the night through the wedding planner (cost ~$35-$40 USD).
