Question

Oops! I forgot to RSVP by April 25, 2021...can I still come?

Answer

If you forgot to RSVP, or your RSVP status has changed, please text or call Mackenzie at 574.215.8701.

Question

What are you planning to do to make your wedding safe for guests?

Answer

The short answer: everything we can! The long answer: We are following all King County guidance on Covid gathering regulations. The good news is, the majority of our guests are fully vaccinated. We will provide sanitizing stations, disposable masks for those who want one, and ask that everyone be mindful of other guest's comfort levels with social distancing, mask wearing, hugging, etc. We plan to be extremely cautious for two weeks prior to our wedding and encourage you all to do the same. If you are sick or starting to feel sick, please stay home or get a test to rule out Covid-19!

Question

Are you requiring guests to wear a mask?

Answer

No. The CDC announced that fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, so we will *not be requiring* our guests to wear masks, given our venue is fully outdoors and open-air. We will, however, provide disposable masks for those who want/need one (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html).

Question

What are the current Covid-19 regulations in Seattle?

Answer

King County is in "Phase 3", which allows for businesses, restaurants (10 people per table max), gyms, and museums to be open at 50% capacity, and outdoor, private gatherings are allowed for 50 people. Copy and paste the link below for the most up-to-date information: https://www.kingcounty.gov/elected/executive/constantine/covid-response/current-guidance.aspx#:~:text=Phase%203%3A%20Restaurants%20and%20shops,25%20percent%20to%2050%20percent

Question

Am I allowed to bring a guest?

Answer

Only those addressed on your Save the Date are invited to attend (unless otherwise discussed with the Bride & Groom). Your Save the Date would clearly indicate if may bring a guest/+1. If you are interested in bringing an extra person, please contact Mackenzie to let her know. If extra space becomes available, we would be happy to have your guest attend!

Question

Are my kids allowed to come?

Answer

As much as we would love to have everyone’s kids, this will be an adult only event.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Yes! You can find our registry on this website or at www.zola.com/wedding/alexandmackenzie2021/registry. You will notice the only thing on our registry is a newlywed fund. We truly feel that we have all of the things we need right now and do not expect any contributions. We kindly request that you do not buy us any physical/tangible gifts. Celebrating with you for the wedding is the only gift we need!

Question

What is Alex and Mackenzie’s mailing address?

Answer

25101 62nd Ave. S Apt. H203 Kent, WA, 98032

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport will be your best bet! It’s located just about 20-30 minutes south of Seattle (depending on traffic).

Question

What is the parking situation?

Answer

Parking at the wedding venue is extremely limited. The wedding is being hosted in the backyard of a home in a residential neighborhood. We highly encourage you to share Ubers or Lyfts. If you still plan to drive yourself, please try to squeeze as many fellow guests into one car as possible to limit the amount of vehicles. The only parking (unless otherwise advised by the Bride & Groom) is street parking. The Airbnb is in a beautiful, safe, and quiet residential neighborhood, and there is a good amount of off street parking available within close walking distance to the home. Please ensure you are not blocking any driveways, mailboxes, or fire hydrants.

Question

Are you hosting a meal?

Answer

Yes, we will have appetizers/snacks, dinner, desserts, and a bar on Saturday after the ceremony. Please come hungry! And thirsty...

Question

I heard that it rains ALL the time in Seattle. Is this what I can expect?

Answer

Not at all! The summers in Seattle are absolutely beautiful. We can’t promise it will be a warm and sunny day all day long, but we are hoping for great weather! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Question

How do I let you know if I have food allergies/dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please text or email Mackenzie to let her know (547-215-8701, mackenzietaylorprice@gmail.com). We are working with caterers who have the ability to cater to most food allergies!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Dressy casual/cocktail attire! How often do we all get to be together, dress up, and celebrate?! Suits and ties are not required, but feel free to go all out if you’d like! Though we are hoping for sunny, warm weather, we encourage you to bring layers to be prepared for rain or wind. The driveway of the venue is STEEP! Ladies (or gents!) - please please please do not try to walk down the driveway hill in heels. We recommend wearing an alternate pair of flats or sneakers, then changing into your heels once you're in the backyard.

Question

What are your recommendations for lodging?

Answer

Our top recommendation is to find a rental through AirBnb or VRBO. Take a look at the Travel page on this website for more suggestions on areas/neighborhoods. The Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Northgate is just a minutes away from the venue and a ~15-20 minute drive to the Downtown area. Summer is an extremely popular time to visit the Pacific Northwest. We recommend booking sooner than later, as rooms will fill up quickly.

Question

Where are Alex and Mackenzie staying? We want to be close by!

Answer

We are staying at the wedding venue! It is located about 30 minutes North of Sea-Tac Airport and about 20 minutes North of Downtown Seattle (likely a little further in summer traffic). If you’re looking to stay nearby, look for rentals near Queen Anne, Ballard, Fremont, Shoreline, or Green Lake. Our actual home is a little further south, in Kent, WA, which is closer to Sea-Tac airport and slightly more centrally located between Seattle, Tacoma, the coast, and the mountains.

Question

Are you having a traditional ceremony? What will the flow of the night look like?

Answer

We anticipate our ceremony being relatively short, followed by a wonderful reception together. Though we may have some traditional elements still incorporated, we are excited to put the "Alex & Mackenzie" flare on our special day. There will be no religious elements incorporated into our wedding.

Question

Is it necessary to get a rental car?

Answer

Fortunately, Seattle has lots of public transportation options ranging from Uber, Lyft, the Light Rail, buses, ferries, and more! It is not essential for you to get a rental car if you are comfortable with relying on public transportation and plan to stay close to the city. If you need a ride to one of our event locations, we would be happy to try and connect you with other guests who will have cars and extra space.
