Can I RSVP and reserve my room now?

Answer

Yes! Please RSVP by April 1st and reserve/book your room (see "accomodations" tab) by June 21st!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For the wedding, we suggest smart casual. For further explanation take a look at the "festive", "casual", and "tropical" categories shown in this article! https://www.brides.com/story/wedding-dress-code-explained For the rest of your vacation, we suggest a mix of casual beach attire for the day, and some smart casual attire for dinner/drinks/festivities!

How will I find other guests when I get to the resort?

Great question! Once you've RSVP'd you'll be added to our wedding facebook group where you can view and post updates before and during the trip!

How do I reserve my room?

Answer

Simply complete the reservation form (https://www.beachbumvacations.com/reservations) and submit the payment for your room deposit by June 21st to reserve your room!

Do I need to budget for anything else after booking my room and flight?

Answer

Nope! This resort is all-inclusive, meaning all drinks and food are included in your stay! That said, tipping a dollar or two per drink or meal is acceptable but not necessary, so you can either bring some cash with you (the resort accepts USD) or you can visit the concierge desk if you want to wait until you arrive to withdraw cash for a small fee!

What does all-inclusive actually include? (and not include?)

Answer

Your stay includes unlimited drinks at any of the bars (pace yourself!) unlimited meals at any of the restaurants (order one of everything! ...but seriously, pace yourself!) and room service (I see you're not pacing yourself). It also includes beach towels, access to the gym, fitness classes, water park access, live entertainment, free mini bar, and all the sun, sand, and turquoise water you could possibly want. What's not included are: - Spa services such as massages (however we do have a 10% group discount rate on spa services) - Full bottles of wine at restaurants - The gift shop - Off-resort excursions - can be purchased seperately - Cabanas - can be reserved for a fee - Additionally some restaurants are "club level" access only during certain times of day.

What is the difference between Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara?

Answer

Ziva is the family resort, Zilara is for adult guests only. Adults staying on either side may access both sides of the resort, including restaurants and pools, however children are not permitted on the Zilara side. Both resorts are directly adjacent to one another, and connected.

Are flights included in the cost of the stay?

Answer

Because the cost of flights can vary so much depending on the city you'll be departing from, the cost of flights is not included.

How do I book my flights?

Answer

You can either work with Lisa, who is happy to book flights on your behalf, or you can book flights separately using your preferred method!

How do I get from the airport to the resort?

Answer

There is a great private shuttle service included in the cost of your stay that Lisa will arrange for you once she has booked your flight or received your flight details if you booked your flights separately. There will be someone waiting for you just outside the airport to direct you to the shuttle, which will take you directly to the resort!

How far is the airport from the resort?

Answer

A short 15-20 minute shuttle ride!

What if I don't have a passport?

Answer

You'll definitely want to begin the process of getting your passport ASAP! Also, it's very important that the passport remain valid up to 6 months after the last day of the trip!

Is there cell reception/wifi at the resort?

Answer

Yes! You should have cell service through most major phone carriers, though you won't need it if you connect to the resort's wifi!

What COVID protocols are in place?

Answer

Currently all guests are required to wear masks at bars and when entering restaurants, and to maintain social distancing at facilities as marked. All staff are required to wear masks as well. Room service is packaged and sealed and delivered at the door of your room. The resort is also capping occupancy to keep guest density to a minimum.

What about COVID vaccines?

Answer

Based on current news we anticipate that vaccines will be required for international travel by November, so guests are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated as soon as possible. Regardless of public health requirements, we are also asking all attendees to get a vaccine if at all possible.

Does the resort provide COVID testing for U.S. citizen reentry?

Answer

Yes! Free on-site rapid testing is provided for all guests staying at least 3 nights. For guests staying fewer than 3 nights there is a $50 fee. Tests meet airline carrier requirements for boarding flights into the U.S. You should schedule your test immediately upon arrival at the resort to ensure that you can take it and get results back before your departure.

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

We recommend flying into the Punta Cana airport (PUJ). It's a short 10-15 minute shuttle ride from the airport to the resort!
