For those staying at the Inn at the Colonnade - Bird in Hand is a great coffee shop/bookstore just a short walk away through the Johns Hopkins campus. For those staying at Hotel Indigo - Cafe Fili is an amazing coffee/breakfast/lunch spot just a few blocks away. If you are lucky they may be making their colorful lattes!
Fells Point is a beautiful neighborhood on the water - think cobblestone streets and old bars and restaurants - that sets you in a good point to wander around the walking path that goes around the entirety of the harbor. Head left and you will approach the Canton neighborhood or head right and you will approach Federal Hill. The Pendry Hotel is a good destination to use as a starting point.
Hamden is an eclectic neighborhood full of local shops and restaurants. The Charmery is one of our favorite ice cream places and the Food Market has yummy food! Start at the intersection of 36th Street and Keswick and wander "The Avenue" (36th) from there. This is close to the Inn at the Colonnade if that is where you are staying!
Patterson Park is a beautiful park with lots of walking paths. A good way to start here is to plug in Bmore Licks, grab yourself an ice cream, and head across the street into the park to start exploring.
This neighborhood is full of historic buildings and museums, including the Walter's Art Museum and the George Peabody Library. The Hotel Indigo is located in this neighborhood if that is where you are staying! A great bar/dinner spot here is the Ash Bar.
Another one of our breakfast favorites! They do not take reservations so get there early if you can! This is located in the Federal Hill neighborhood, which is another great spot to walk around. There are lot of bars, restaurants, and coffee shops here.
