\\ How they met \\ They both attended the University of Kentucky, Alex and Lexi started as college friends. They were first introduced by Joe McClure, who was a high school friend of Lexi's and a fraternity brother of Alex's. Running around in the same college friend group, Alex and Lexi were together often, but it wasn't until their senior and junior year that the heat really turned up between them. A normal Friday night turned into the two getting to know each other at the well-known Two Keys Tavern in Lexington, KY. After walking Alex home, Lexi was smitten. It took Alex a little longer to realize the gem of a girl he had. They didn't start dating until after Alex had graduated and Lexi was finishing up her senior year. From then on it was history; many Mexican and Drake's date nights, UK tailgates, Keeneland visits, weekend trips to Madisonville, Lake Cumberland adventures, Iowa road trip, Tuesday night dinner's at Lexi's grandparents, and Remi & Ruger walks. \\ The Proposal \\ After 2 years of getting to know and love Lexi, Alex had decided she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He bought a ring and made up the excuse of "really wanting Mt. Fuji hibachi dinner" to head down to Madisonville to visit Lexi's parents. After getting D. Ross's blessing, Alex now had to pull one over Lexi -- not an easy task. With the help of a few family members claiming there was a fancy dinner, Lexi was off to Ashville, NC. Lexi is never one to turn down fancy so she was dressed to the nines and ready to taste some wine on March 22nd. Little did she know that her soon to be fiance was there waiting for her. After proposing -- she said yes, Alex had arranged for all 14 of their family members and 2 of Lexi's best friends to get to celebrate the weekend with them! With a lovely start to their lifelong love, Alex and Lexi are so excited to get to tie the knot on Septemeber 19th, 2020.
