Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR)

We suggest that you go ahead and set a flight tracker on Google Flights or Hopper to keep an eye on the more affordable flights. Delta flies direct from Atlanta to Liberia (LIR) several times a day. Another (sometimes cheaper) option would be to fly into San Jose and rent a car to make the 3.5 hour drive to Hacienda Pinilla.

There are lots of amazing houses and villas to rent in Hacienda Pinilla, and even in surrounding Tamarindo areas depending on the size of your group! The weekends' festivities will all take place within Hacienda Pinilla, so it will be most convenient to find lodging there. JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort & Spa

We do NOT have a room block at the JW Marriott, however we HAVE reserved several rooms under our names. If you are interested in booking a room at the JW Marriott for the wedding, please reach out to me (alexgrav07@gmail.com) or my mom Susan (highsmith7@comcast.net) and let us know, and we could switch one of the rooms over to you. Please keep in mind that late February/early March is the high travel season in Costa Rica, so PLEASE do not wait until the last minute to book your hotel or vacation rental!

If you are renting a car during your stay in Costa Rica, we have arranged for a 10% discounted group rate for our wedding! Please book on the Alamo Costa Rica website, and use the discount code ABT2019. This code will be able for rentals starting on February 27th to March 10th, 2019. The Waze app works great for navigating in Costa Rica! We suggest that you add on a WiFi hotspot rental to your total car rental package so that you can access Waze and other apps on your phone while driving throughout the country.

Golf carts might be a great idea to rent instead of a rental car if you are planning to stay within the Hacienda Pinilla community for the weekend! It is an easy way to get around to the Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club, JW Marriott, private beaches, other rental houses on property, etc.
