Hotel
For your convenience, we've reserved a block of rooms at The Conrad Hotel in downtown DC. Use the link in this note for the discounted rate. This is a new, sleek, hip hotel with a rooftop bar. It's close to The Mall (where all the museums and monuments are) and a few blocks from The White House. This hotel is about a 15 minute ride from the wedding venue. We've secured a great price per night, so if you want to go the hotel route, The Conrad is a great option!
House Or Rental
If you and a group want to rent a house or apartment from AirBNB, HomeAway or VRBO, there are tons of options, but here are the neighborhoods we would recommend: Shaw 14th Street Bloomingdale Logan Circle
Flight
DCA: Please note that the easiest airport to fly into is Washington National DCA (also known as Reagan National).
Flight
BWI: For BWI (Baltimore Washington International), we recommend you take the MARC Train to Union Station (DC). One way fares for the MARC are usually between $6.00 and $10.00 dependent on the day and time.
Flight
IAD: When flying into Dulles Airport, it's easiest to get a rideshare (Lyft / Uber) from the airport. One way rideshare fares into the city are usually between $30.00 and $60.00 dependent on day and time. You can also take the Metro into DC if you're feeling lucky.
Train
If you're coming to DC from New York, Philly, Richmond or the Tidewater area of Virginia, we recommend you take the Amtrak to Union Station. It's easy riding and you never lose cell phone service. If you book eight weeks out or more, prices are usually very reasonable.
Travel Note
Cabs and rideshares (Lyft / Uber) are simple and easy to flag down in DC. DC isn't very big, but check your phone when mapping out your day. If you don't have Lyft or Uber, download the app on your phone before you get here. We recommend taking rideshares to the wedding venue as there isn't much street parking. That way you can have fun and not worry about getting behind the wheel.
