Hotel
We have some blocks reserved for wedding guests both Friday and Saturday evening here, AND there will be a shuttle running from this hotel to the wedding venue. There's also plenty of fun stuff to do in Lynchburg within walking distance, so ++recommend!
Hotel
We don't have blocks reserved for this one, but I've heard it's a classy stay and I can confirm it has a nice rooftop restaurant and bar! It even has a documentary all about it, apparently, called The Virginian & Me. Watch party anyone?!
Shuttle
October 17, 2026 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
A shuttle will be running from the Lynchburg Grand Hotel (LGH) to the wedding venue on Saturday at TBD and TBD. Return trips from the venue back to the LGH will happen at TBD and TBD that same night. The shuttle ride will take about 40 minutes or so each way.
Travel Note
For our out-of-towner guests who are getting in on Friday, swing by The Water Dog in downtown Lynchburg for some drinks, snacks, and to say hi to the soon-to-be-still-already-married couple before the big day. Party doors will be open anytime between TBD and TBD, so make an appearance when you can or come early and grab dinner ahead on their restaurant side. Extra points if you like oysters!
Travel Note
Looking for a retro escape to chase the welcome party? Check out this Lynchburg original. Two floors of classic and obscure arcade games, adult bevs available, and a music venue in the basement. This place comes Kevin&Alex approved. No quarters required!
Travel Note
Right next door to The Water Dog and open till 10 pm, this joint has your sweet tooth needs covered. You could even take a secret ice cream break during the welcome party on Friday and no one would even know. If you do, though, bring some sorbet back for Alex and Kevin while you're at it...
Travel Note
If you've got some time to kill and want to avoid the hills, take a walk (or rent a bike!) down Percival island. The island is accessible via walking bridge not far from downtown and includes river views, peaceful woods, and a well-paved path. You won't believe you're still in the city.
Travel Note
If you're looking for a fresh bite, we highly recommend Hueso Loco. The place is bold, creative, and the guac is to die for. Best of all, they make each and every cocktail an event! You really can't go wrong here.
Travel Note
Need to keep the kid(s) (and yourself) occupied for a few hours? Amazement Square is a children's museum and learning center with four stories of fun activities and exhibits, located right in walkable downtown Lynchburg. They're open from 10-5 Friday and Saturday, and from 1-5 on Sunday. Be aware, they don't allow strollers throughout the museum, so plan ahead for your littlest ones.
