Train
Outside of having your own vehicle or Uber-ing, this is your next best way to get around the city. It isn't an extensive network but it is good for getting to most destinations. "DC Metro" app is useful or use google maps for the more confident. The Metro is Apple/Google Pay compatible just need to buy a pass from the SmarTrip app or just buy a physical card at a station. DO NOT BUY DAY PASSES, these are tourist traps. Fares can be complicated but basically you pay based on where you get on and where you get off, regardless of how lost you may get in between! Shouldn't be more than $2.50 one-way. For an up-to-date look at when the next trains are arriving, check here: https://www.wmata.com/schedules/next-arrival/
Flight
This is the easiest airport to get to and from. Five stops on the BLUE line between the airport and Rosslyn (the metro stop closes to the hotel). DCA - > Rosslyn - Blue towards Largo Town Center Rosslyn -> DCA - Blue towards Franconia-Springfield Otherwise 15 minute uber ride

THIS AIRPORT IS NOT IN WASHINGTON DC. Still a viable way to get to the city, but you will need to travel 30 min (w/o traffic) to hotel. There is a direct metrobus between the airport and Rosslyn that operate about every 30 minutes. https://www.rosslynva.org/go/metrobus-5a-dc-dulles-airport

THIS AIRPORT IS VERY MUCH NOT IN WASHINGTON DC (not sure why travel sites say it is). This airport is totally fine if your arrival/departure times are outside of rush hour. Likely adding 45-60 minutes and about $50 to your travel each way. Uber/taxi is the quickest way, but there are some convoluted trains that work. We can try and get people to and from this airport, but there will be a lot going on this weekend!
