Tour downtown Charleston- start at White Point Gardens (we got married in the gazebo), walk to the Battery, Rainbow Row, and Joe Riley Waterfront Park (where the pineapple fountain is located). This is a 15-20 minute walk & has many of the downtown Charleston landmarks. You can then walk or take a rickshaw to Charleston City Market or shopping along King Street. For drinks, we like The Vendue (rooftop bar with great city views, right next to the pineapple fountain), Blind Tiger (bar with a nice outdoor seating area), Henry’s on the Market (rooftop bar by the Charleston City Market) or Mac's Place near the Market. Our favorite restaurant is Leon’s Oyster Shop. There are many tour options- walking historic tours, ghost tours, culinary tours.
Walk the Folly Beach Pier, shop on Center Street, visit the Morris Island Lighthouse, or schedule a paddle-boarding tour. The Lost Dog Cafe, Rita's, Chico Feo is good food, Loggerheads & Lowlife are fun bars. Bowen’s Island Restaurant is a short drive over the bridge but has good local seafood & views. Folly Beach area is very walkable.
We love to come here and rent a kayak or paddleboard for an hour and then bar hop. We often see dolphins and manatees. Vickery's, Red's Ice House, Tavern & Table, and Saltwater Cowboys are all on the boardwalk.
We recommend seeing the Angel Oak Tree and then going to Low Tide Brewing for a blue quencher or Tattooed Moose for food.
