Tripp Pankey

Best Man

One of the qualities I admire in Alex is determination. I saw that early on. He came home the first day of kindergarten upset that his friends could cross the monkey bars without falling. So we built a set that night. Alex was determined to cross without falling. He practiced all night.. until his hands were blistered and bleeding. But he did it.

Peyton Hill

Maid of Honor

Trying to pick a favorite memory with Kayla is quite hard, but one of my top memories will always be her proposal. When Alex asked me to help him ask her to be his wife I was overwhelmed with excitement. After months of planning, and even getting up at 5am to make her believe I was going out of town, seeing the pure joy on her face was confirmation she has found the love she deserves.

Groomsman

Lily Brooke Norris

Guest Book Attendant

My favorite memory is when you babysat me while my parents were at the Gala. We made Christmas cookies, watched movies and lip-synced to Christmas songs (including Mariah Carey!) We put my food in the oven and the container almost melted.

Groomsman

One of my favorites was when we had the blackberry fight in the living room in our old house and stained the walls with purple splatter and I totally won. I was nimble for a fat kid. Mom was not very happy with us but she laughed when she came home

Megan Ondrizek

Bridesmaid

My favorite memory with Kayla and Alex was a spontaneous trip to Alex's lake house. The weekend wasn't crazy, or anything out of the ordinary, but it showed me that Kayla had found someone as kind and family oriented as she is. I had mentioned that I was craving peanut m&m's, and when we got to the lake, Alex had picked some up for me. It was small, but that act of kindness showed me that Alex loved Kayla and wanted to care for the people she loved as well. I cannot wait to see what the Lord has in story for these two in a lifetime of unity!

Groomsman

Some of my best memories with Alex are our family trips to the beach when we were younger. We always tried to do a bunch of crazy things like Water Balloon Wars, pranking Jay, making movies, or almost getting kicked out of The Track.

Elizabeth McCutcheon

Bridesmaid

The best part of my friendship with Kayla is that despite how ever much time apart, we always pick up right where we left off. One of my favorite memories with Kayla is when she came with my family to New Orleans for the Auburn bowl game our senior year of high school and on our last day in order to get beignets we walked 2 miles alone in drizzling rain laughing the whole way. The summer before we left for college was full of so many sweet times between Kayla, Mae Mae and I that it would be impossible to list them all or describe how much these two mean to me, and I’m so thankful for the best hometown friends a girl could ask for.

Groomsman

I love the memory of spring break 2019 when we loaded up Alex's truck and headed down to the keys. I knew we were cut from the same cloth when he were just as excited as me to paddle 2 miles into the ocean on canoes and fish from an abandoned island all day for 5 days. One of the best trips I’ve been on- I’ll never forget it

Maegan Malkmus

Bridesmaid

I have many memories with Kayla that I will always cherish so having to narrow down some of my favorite moments is so hard! One of my favorite memories is sitting on the beach eating Meltdown grilled cheeses. We took a spontaneous day trip to 30A over the summer and had such a good time even though we went without making any plans. The grilled cheeses were amazing but getting to spend time with Kayla is much better and always so sweet! Getting to see Kayla and Alex’s relationship grow from sophomore year of college to now has been so heartwarming. Every time I get to hang out with the both of them it’s evident how much they care for and love each other.

Groomsman

My favorite memory is one time when we were at the lake house back when Alex and I were in Cahaba Park youth group. His dad took us tubing and we were both on the tube at the same time, and I remember his dad took a sharp turn and threw us both off. I think i like almost landed on Alex, and I just remember him saying, "Dang, I think i just saw my life flash before my eyes"

Anna May

Bridesmaid

My favorite memory of Kayla and Alex, that truly shows their character and hearts, is what they did for me on my 21st birthday. They set up a double date for all of us to go camping in Alex's front yard, with hamburgers, games, a projected movie, and so much laughter. It was so thoughtful of them to plan such a sweet night for all of us to spend some quality time together! I am so honored to stand by Kayla's side as she marries the love of her life! I have learned so much for Kayla and Alex as they have displayed to me what it looks like to keep Christ the center of their relationship. I look forward to many more double dates, lake trips, tequila shots, game nights and fun adventure with these two!

Groomsman

Alex has been one of my most trusted, pious, and honest friends. Ever since our friendship began back in Junior High we’ve shared countless good times and helped each other through the worst of times. I’ll always be grateful for the trips we took together to Captiva with the guys in high school and the road trip of a lifetime down to The Key’s where we attempted to fight some tarpon without flipping our kayaks and canoes

Bridesmaid

Kayla Hill is the truest definition of a kind and loyal friend. She always seeks to make those around her feel loved and cared for while simultaneously making them feel comfortable enough to be themselves. One such occasion was our sorority’s leadership trip to Indianapolis, Indiana. Kayla, my hotel roommate, made a weekend being snowed into a hotel and conference center a weekend to remember. Lots of giggling, chatting, and shenanigans happened in that hotel—one including a goldfish in a drawer—but a true and lasting friendship emerged. I am so thankful for such a friend who can make me laugh and warm my heart!

John Sisson

Groomsman

The first time I really became close with Alex was when we were pledges and we both had to dress up like 80s rock stars for a social. However, we were the only ones dressed like this so we looked like idiots. This was only the beginning to a great friendship. Some of my favorite memories with Pank always involve the lake and some funny memory or just having a great time grilling out and hanging out. I look forward to many more days with you man.

Bridesmaid

My favorite thing about Kayla and Alex is their love for not only each other, but for their friends as well! They are shining examples of how the Lord loves us, and how to love each other. They are patient and kind with their friends, and push us toward our Father always. I am so thankful that the Lord put a sweet lifelong friend across the hall from me that August in Cambridge! The two of them have been such a blessing in my life! I am so happy for y'all!!

Colt Buckingham

Groomsman

My favorite memory would probably be our sophomore year spring break trip. Without fully knowing what we were doing, we loaded up and drove down to the keys. From making a pit stop at a Zach Brown Band concert to just hanging out cooking the fish we had caught (we ate more jambalaya that we brought than fish lol). That week had many laughs that will be a memory forever

Kara Brooks

Bridesmaid

Kayla is the type of friend who genuinely wants to know how you are doing and will fall on her knees in prayer alongside you. On the day they got engaged, I spent the day with Kayla doing homework, drinking coffee, and talking about the future. She spoke with faith and kindness; with a desire to walk in obedience to the lord's calling for her. Little did she know, that morning Alex had come over to our house so he could show us the outfit he had picked out to wear and so we could steam his pants. When it was time to go get Kayla ready for their “date,” our eyes fill with love as she thought about her guy— it’s a picture I’ll never forget. I’m so thankful for the front row seat I’ve had as they have fought for one another and have sought to honor the Lord through their relationship.

Aiden Hill

Junior Groomsman

My favorite memories with Kayla are baking cookies for Santa every Christmas Eve. I also love playing Spikeball and board games with Kayla, Peyton, Alex, and Jackson when everybody is home. Lastly, I really love when Alex and Kayla come to my Baseball tournaments or go play golf at Burningtree.

Lucy Pankey

Junior Bridesmaid

One my favorite memories of Alex and Kayla is of her first visit to the lake. Alex was on the Sea Doo trying to show off for Kayla by chasing a flock of geese. Right when Alex got within a few feet, the geese retaliated by spraying him with poop. It was so funny!

Hannah Joy Pankey

Flower Girl

I like to sit in Kayla’s lap on the boat while we cheer for Alex doing tricks on the wake board at the lake, and I like to bake yummy chocolate treats with Kayla

I love when Kayla & Alex come home from college and come play with me at family dinners
