Travel Note
In order to enter France your passport will need to be valid at least 3 months beyond your intended date of departure- please ensure yours isn't close to expiring! We suggest 6 months to be on the safe side. Please be mindful that most flights from the US are overnight, double check that your arrival date is the 25th or 26th - not the 27th. We suggest arriving on the 25th as your first day will likely be full of travel and jet lag!

Marseille airport is a 1 hour drive to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. While there are no direct flights from the US to Marseille, there are plenty of options with connecting flights. We strongly recommend renting a car, however, Uber and taxis are readily available around the airport, or you can contact your hotel to arrange a private transfer. Please note that once you arrive to the small town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Ubers and taxis can be limited and pick up may take longer. We recommend scheduling your ride back to the Marseille Airport in advance to avoid any travel delays.

Nice Côte d'Azur airport is a 2.5 hour drive to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. This is a good option to consider if you want to rent a car and drive along the French Riviera to Provence.

*NOT DRIVING DISTANCE* Paris CDG airport is a good option to fly into if you wanted to explore Paris before the wedding and take the 2hr 40min high speed train to Provence. Option 1) Fly into CDG Airport and take the train from Paris Gare de Lyon train station that is located directly in the heart of Paris. This is the best option if you would like to spend some time in Paris before heading south. Option 2) Fly into CDG Airport and take the train located directly in the airport (CDG Airport train station). This is the best option if you are not planning to spend time in Paris. Note that the airport is not located in the city.

Avignon train station is the closest high speed train stop to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. This is a great option for those that will be traveling around Europe before or after the wedding. It is a direct 2hr 40min train ride from Paris. 25 minutes away from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence by car. Train tickets will be available for booking 4 months prior to departure. Rental Car
If you would like to explore the Provence region further, we recommend renting a car for convenience and flexibility. Note: The French drive on the right side of the road with the steering wheel on the left, just like in the U.S.! It is very easy to drive in the south of France, it is not like Paris or Italy. Keep in mind you may need euros/coins for the toll roads. Rental cars are available at both airports and both train stations. We suggest reserving your car in advance as this will be a busy time of the year for travel.
