FAQs

If you have questions that are not listed here, please reach out to Alex or Kathleen.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVPs will be collected through the website ~3 months before the wedding. If you already know if you can come to our event(s), please feel free to RSVP early on the "RSVP" page! (Wedding RSVP will become available once the menu choices are finalized.)

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is formal, but fun! We encourage bright colors, bold accessories, or anything that makes you feel fancy.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! We'd love for the whole family to celebrate. If you'd rather leave the kiddos home and come out to party, that's fine too!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Guests are by invitation only.

Question

Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside, and dinner will be inside. Dancing will take place between the outdoor deck and the indoor reception area.

Question

What is CO weather like in the summer?

Answer

Colorado is typically hot, sunny and dry in August, with an occasional passing storm. Denver temperatures are usually in the high 80s or lower 90s, but it should be a little cooler in the mountains with temperatures averaging mid-upper 70s in Idaho Springs.

Question

What is the closest airport?

Answer

Denver International Airport (DIA) is the closest major airport. It is about 1 hour from the venue in Idaho Springs and about 30 minutes from Denver.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see "Travel" page for more info on hotel/transportation recommendations.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation will be arranged to and from the wedding venue from Denver (~45 minutes from Idaho Springs). Limited parking is also available if you'd like to book your own accommodations closer to the venue and drive yourself.

Question

How should I prepare for Colorado if I'm from out of state?

Answer

Colorado is HIGH and DRY. Bring chapstick, lotion and sunscreen. Most importantly, please STAY HYDRATED while you are here! Denver is 5,280' above sea level and Idaho Springs is about ~7,500'. Altitude sickness is no joke but can easily be avoided. If you're able to arrive to CO early to acclimatize, that's great, but no need to worry if you can't. Stay rested, hydrated and well-fed and we'll make sure you're taken care of!
