This resort is just a little short of a 20 minute drive from BV. It's a resort and spa that is known for its natural hot springs that sit between 90 to 108 degrees F. It has beautiful views of the Collegiate Peaks and is a great place to see why Buena Vista was named for its "Beautiful Views".
There are plenty of hiking trails in the area from easy hikes by the Arkansas river to a 14ner to Mt. Princeton. It is November in Colorado so it will be cold and there may be snow at higher elevations, keep that in mind when choosing a hike! Hikes we recommend: - Barbra Wipple Trail (3.3 mile loop, views of the river and the collegiate peaks)
This is one of our favorite places in the area! They do private tours of their distillery and we highly recommend if interested.
A great brewery that is local to Buena Vista, we highly recommend tasting a beer or two while you're here. They also have a restaurant location called Eddyline Restaurant at South Main. They serve a good selection of their beers and also have a great mountain-style menu.
A lovely coffee shop in BV that we stop at often on our road trips to Crested Butte!
This is a great breakfast/coffee shop right off of main street. We highly recommend a breakfast burrito and dirty hippie, chai latte with a shot of espresso!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in BV and is also where we are getting married! They have a wonderful menu that changes seasonally and a great cocktail menu. It's located on the first floor of the Surf Hotel and sits right along the beautiful Arkansas River.
Outdoor specialty retailer! They've got all the good brands like Patagonia, Outdoor Research and Arc'teryx.
A beautiful little shop in downtown BV!
Delicious classic breakfast spot!
Buena Vista has a few great sand courts in walking distance from the Surf Hotel!
