Billings: This is the closest airport. It is about an 1 hr and 15 minute drive to the wedding venue. Billings is the largest city in Montana and has lots of accommodations. Bozeman: This airport is located in Bozeman where the brides family lives. It is about 2 hrs from the wedding venue. Bozeman is a very popular town in Montana with a cute downtown and great local hiking spots.

Ideas for Places to Stay

Nearby Stays: I would recommend searching for an AirBnB in Absarokee, Columbus, or Roscoe, MT. There are also a few hotels and RV campgrounds in these areas. First Time in Montana: Red Lodge is a charming town that’s a bit larger and may be easier to find lodging in. It also has gorgeous views! It’s about 40 minutes from Absarokee/the venue. Major City Nearby: Billings is the closest city with more hotel options and amenities. However, it’s about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Absarokee/the venue. This is also where the nearest airport will be.

An Outdoorsy Option

If you're looking to make more of a Montana adventure out of your trip, you could consider flying into Bozeman and renting a vehicle. You are not far from Yellowstone National Park, many hot springs, and other great locations/activities to visit/do. One of Alex's clients, Hatch Adventures, operates a rental vehicle company out of Bozeman. They rent very nice 4WD vehicles, many of which are equipped with GoFastCampers and other supplies for overlanding adventures. If you're feeling adventurous, this may be a good option for you.
