Festivities begin at 5pm, with the ceremony starting soon after. The reception will follow and go until 11pm. Suggested attire is "cocktail party" but most of all, just be comfortable!
Our venue is The Castle by Marlow Events in Red Hook, Brooklyn. We wanted our wedding to feel like a fancy dinner party, so we'll have a brief ceremony to start – officiated by our very own Emma Hagemann – followed by cocktails + hors d'oeuvres, a seated dinner, cake, dancing....and more cocktails.
You can take public transportation either via the NYC Ferry (Red Hook stop) or the B57 bus (Dwight St/Van Dyke St). There are no subway stations in Red Hook, but you can easily get an Uber or Lyft in the area as well. In terms of hotels, there is a Hilton Hotel in Downtown Brooklyn, a short drive away. More upscale hotel options in Brooklyn include the One Hotel Brooklyn Bridge in Brooklyn Heights, and the Wythe and William Vale hotels, both in Williamsburg.
