Due to venue limitations, we will be hosting an adults-only celebration. For those traveling to attend, we are happy to connect you with local babysitting services so you can enjoy a well-deserved night off.
Our venue or "finca" as its called in Spanish, is Alex's childhood home. It is absolutely beautiful, and we are so excited to celebrate there. Because it's in a rural area, there will be a bit of unpaved road and walkway as you get close to the home. If you need special assistance, please feel free to pull up closer to drop off before parking across the street. The celebration will all be held outdoors with options to stand and chat, or sit and relax throughout the evening. Some of the walkways are uneven, so be aware of that as you pick your shoes. We recommend bringing a shawl as it gets cooler once the sun goes down. We’ll also provide bug spray in case you feel any bites.
September in Mallorca is gorgeous! Highs of 85°F and lows of 68°F make it the perfect time to be there. The sun won’t go down until 8:30pm so we’ll have lots of sunlight to enjoy during our Ceremony and Cocktail Reception. It gets cooler in the mountains where the venue is located, so we would recommend bringing a shawl as it does cool down once the sun is gone. For our beach day and any time off, you will definitely want to bring swimsuits and jump in the ocean! It is so refreshing this time of year, and the sun is still hot, so you’ll be able to hang out for hours.
Anyone who has been to or seen a Spanish wedding knows how gorgeous the invitees look. In American terms, the closest we could find was Garden Party attire. We made a Pinterest board for inspiration, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Have fun with it and we can't wait to see what you choose! Pinterest Board: https://pin.it/2kcRuATxz
Of course! You came all this way, and we want to make sure you have time to explore the gorgeous island! Friday is just an additional chance for everyone to spend time together. Absolutely no pressure if you want to explore on your own. If you do want to come, however, please RSVP so we can make sure we have enough room for everyone.
Spain, and most of Europe, runs on 220V compared to our American 110V, which means that most hair tools burn out when plugged in with just an adapter. Check your individual tool to see if they are dual voltage (110V-220V), or consider buying one (Amazon has lots) before you arrive. Apple products are already built to be dual voltage, so all you will need is an adapter. You can find these at any major store or online. Just google Type F or Type C plugs to know what you need to look for.
Mallorca is incredibly safe and so much fun to explore! However, as with anywhere that has a lot of tourists, be aware of your surroundings and your personal belongings. Tourists often make easy targets for pick-pockets because we're so focused on sightseeing that we don't watch those around us. Especially when in crowded areas, make sure you have all of your important items on you and leave your passports and important documents in the hotel safe. Also, please make sure you don't leave valuables sitting out in your locked car. If necessary, hide them under the seat or a jacket.
