Sofitel Mexico City Reforma

This is where we have a discounted room rate (see below for how to reserve), where we will be staying for the wedding, and where the buses will pick up all guests for Xochimilco and the wedding/reception. It is also a 15 minute walk to Sobremesa for Friday night! In order to book a room with the discounted rate in our hotel block please do the following: To make a reservation you can either email h9615.reservations@sofitel.com or by calling this number: +52 55 86 60 05 00. To get the fixed rate you just have to tell them you're reserving a room for Simmi and Alex's Wedding. If booking by phone, make sure to request an email confirmation of your reservation. The room rate is for a superior room and will be: $180 (plus taxes) on March 3 and then $150 (plus taxes) on March 4 and March 5. If you're coming earlier or staying later, there are also fixed room rates for longer stays! Let us know if you have any issues booking!

Mexico City International Airport/Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México

Most major airlines have direct flights into MEX from major US cities. The airport is about a 30 minute drive to most hotels (depending on traffic conditions). We highly encourage our guests to set up price alerts via "Google Flight Alerts" or the "Hopper" App to ensure the best flight deal!

Uber

Ubers are our recommended mode of transportation during your stay. Make sure to download the app before you arrive. They are frequent, reliable, cost effective, and safer than taxis.

Uber from the Airport

We highly recommend taking an Uber from the airport, as opposed to a cab. When you open the Uber app at the airport after going through customs, make sure the location is the Mexico City Airport and then it will ask for the Terminal. All flights coming to Mexico City from the US fly into Terminal 1, so put Terminal 1. It will then ask for the "puerta." This means door. There are door numbers throughout Terminal 1, so put the door number that you exit through out of the terminal so the Uber knows where to pick you up (the closes door is 7).

There are many Airbnb options around Mexico City, as well! There are plenty of great places, at very reasonable prices, close to the wedding venue and all over town. Our favorite areas are: Condesa and Roma.
