What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-Formal/Dressy Casual: Suits and floor-length gowns are welcome, and so are dress shirt + slacks and cocktail dresses (knee-length or longer). No white dresses, jeans, or sneakers please!

There are three airports in the area: San Francisco (SFO) - 25+ minutes drive from Woodside San Jose (SJC) - 30+ minutes drive from Woodside Oakland (OAK) - 40+ minutes drive from Woodside

Where should I stay?

Answer

Check the Travel section for any updates. We have a link to nearby hotels with discounts, and are gathering info for a hotel block if there is interest. If you are interested in a shuttle to the venue (see below), the shuttle will likely stop somewhere between Redwood City and Atherton on El Camino Real, which is a central location to many of the hotels.

How can I get to the venue?

Answer

There will be plenty of parking at the venue, including the overflow lot. However, the venue is a fairly long drive from most hotels. We plan to provide a single shuttle to take guests to/from the venue, likely to an area central to the main hotel stretch nearby (El Camino Real around Redwood City / Atherton). The shuttle will likely leave the hotel area at 4:30PM, and depart the venue around the closing time of the reception.

What food will be served?

Answer

There will be appetizers during the cocktail hour - there will be four options, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian selections. For dinner, there will be a selection between 3 entrees; these are TBD, but expect to select between Steak, Chicken, and a Vegan entree.

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Yes, there will be an open bar, including beer, wine, and mixed drinks (no shots). Try the signature Brazilian cocktail, the Caipirinha!
