In June 2021, Hinge introduced us to one another. Alex was living in San Francisco for a short period of time but decided to invite Priscila on a date. We went out to a bar in the Marina where we talked about a lot of things, but mainly hockey. Three weeks after our first date, Alex moved back out of San Francisco, and all of the sudden we were living one hour apart. We survived through seeing each other every other weekend, until Alex moved down to Mountain View and Priscila got a place ten minutes away shortly after. We couldn't get enough of each other and were always together, especially after adopting our cat Luna, so we decided to move in with each other. Two and a half years and three cats later, Alex asked Priscila to marry him and it was the happiest and easiest yes of Priscila's life.
It was a chilly Saturday afternoon when Alex told Priscila they were having a picnic somewhere but it was a surprise. Priscila was suspicious since Alex had also told her to do her nails a few days prior. Alex drove all the way from Mountain View to Baker Beach in San Francisco and walked Priscila over to the most beautiful and special surprise. There was a little tent, lots of red roses, a picnic table and a huge "MARRY ME" sign. Right next to it there was a board which said "Amor da minha vida, te amo" which means "love of my life, I love you" in Portuguese (Priscila's native language). Alex went down on one knee and asked Priscila to marry him; Priscila, crying hysterically, said yes!
