Deborah and Alex first met while Alex was a summer associate and Deborah was a junior associate at the corporate law firm where they both still work today (did someone say Barack and Michelle...?). While things were purely professional throughout that summer, their paths crossed again around 1 year later when, by some sort of star-aligning, God-orchestrated coincidence, Alex and his friends met a lady who turned out to be one of Deborah’s sister's friends while on holiday in Greece. Serendipity at its absolute finest! The two then commenced long-distance California-to-London correspondence for a number of months until finally seeing each other in person again in Lima, Peru. Alex was living in Peru at the time for work, and Deborah solo travelled over there during her move from London to Houston, Texas. They then shared a happy and travel-filled semi-long-distance relationship together between Houston (where Deborah lived) and New York (where Alex lived). Multiple geographies, two children, one pandemic and much more later, the rest is now history. The couple are grateful to God for one another and for their testing yet rewarding relationship journey that God has been seeing them through. They appreciate the joys and challenges of raising their beautiful children, and they share a love of travelling, occasional cooking together and leaning into each other's various interests.
