Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Alex Lewin and Elissa Schwartz
Explore downtown Detroit or Ann Arbor or enjoy the wonderful food scene of Michigan. These are just a few suggestions, but we have a ton more so just reach out with what type of things you like to do or type of food you find tasty and we will have a recommendation for you! From our photos you can see we love food. We always suggest a visit to the various food areas such as Dearborn for authentic middle eastern, Hamtramck for more authentic middle eastern or Polish food, Mexican village Detroit, Greektown in Detroit, and so forth.
Detroit Institute of Arts

Detroit Institute of Arts

5200 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, MI 48202

This museum has an amazing collection. The building is beautiful and the enormous Diego Rivera mural is literally one of a kind. We love going here for a date day and pairing it with a good meal or pastry nearby.

Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation

Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation

20900 Oakwood Boulevard, Dearborn, MI 48124

This is where Elissa, Eli, and Alex took their first photo all together. Great traveling exhibitions here and awesome items from Michigan's past. Follow it up with some delicious food in Dearborn.

The Creature Conservancy

The Creature Conservancy

4940 Ann Arbor-Saline Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48103

One of Alex's absolute faves! Get up close and personal with an amazing array of animals who have all been rescued by the folks at The Creature Conservancy. There are sloths, and pumas, and alligators, and tortoises, and a wolf-dog, and so much more. Super inexpensive and entertaining for all ages.

Motown Museum

Motown Museum

2648 West Grand Boulevard, Detroit, MI 48208

How can you come to the Detroit area without going to Hitsville U.S.A., the place were Motown started. We went on one of our early dates here and this is when Alex knew Elissa was always listening and taking note of what she likes.

Cranbrook Campus

Cranbrook Campus

39221 Woodward Avenue, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304

Cranbrook is a great historical campus in Michigan. Housing an art school, art museum, science museum, and multiple historical residences, it's a great place for art and architecture nerds like Alex to visit.

Zehnder's of Frankenmuth

Zehnder's of Frankenmuth

730 South Main Street, Frankenmuth, MI 48734

If you've got a couple of extra days in the area, Zehnder's and Frankenmuth are a fun stop. Frankenmuth is Michigan's Bavarian-style town with lots of fun shops including Eli's favorite cheese shop. There is also an enormous Christmas shop and of course Zehnder's all you can eat chicken dinner.

For all the days along the way
