Matron of Honor
Brought together by an ICU rotation during Elainea's intern year, the two became inseparable after spending 30 days and 30 nights straight together. (No one was harmed.) Once they found out they share loves of Disney, shopping, and mimosas (hold the OJ), the rest was history.
Matron of Honor
Initially study buddies in medical school, Elainea & Alex bonded over their love for beach vacations, and took advantage of that over the years! Despite doing residency many states apart (& fellowship, & now life...), nothing keeps people together quite like a shared love of the Bachelorette.
Bridesmaid
Technically Elainea's niece (it's complicated), and so therefore friends for Laine's whole life, Smith genes definitely carry strong tendencies toward shared hobbies and travel interests. These include but are definitely not limited to Harry Styles and Taylor Swift concerts... Who knows where they'll end up next!
Bridesmaid
Initially introduced through Britt's husband, one of Elainea's co-residents, these two love nothing more than a girls night dinner with some wine, as was discovered on many a work conference trip! Oh, and the Raborn's practically adopted Elainea as yet another child during the depths of the COVID pandemic. (Thank you...) We love her so much we moved down the street!
Bridesmaid
Maddie and Elainea have so much in common, from the Bachelor(ette), making and/or eating charcuterie boards, and most importantly: trying to figure out what the heck Alex and Mikey are even talking about half the time. Many hugs and giggles have been shared over the years, with definitely so many more to come!
Bridesmaid
Elainea & Elizabeth went to medical school together, and bonded especially during the best year - fourth year! From pool days, to 5ks, and beach trips, these two had a lot of fun.
Best Man
Alex and Mikey met when they were very young, and shared a bond from early ages, given that they lived very close growing up. Some of their favorite activities together included riding Razor Scooters around the neighborhood, making fun of their dad and cropping photos of him and zooming in on his face. Mikey has been described as "a lawyer" in the Washington, DC area, but is a perfectly fine guy, I promise. Alex couldn't be more excited to have such a stand-up guy for a brother, and to have him up there next to him when he ties the knot.
Groomsman
Andy and Alex grew up next to each other in the South Suburbs of Denver. They managed to make it by making homemade fireworks - *briefly* lighting Andy's lawn on fire. One of Andy's favorite pastimes in high school was putting the car into neutral while Alex was driving, guaranteeing a fun time had by all. Andy is certainly Alex's oldest friend, and is one of 3 groomsmen Alex would trust to perform heart surgery on him if need be.
Groomsman
Andrew and Alex bonded decades [citation needed] ago over their love of Dota 2 and pictures of stuff they have on their phones. To this day they call each other with funny bits, constantly pushing the limits of comedy. Some have described them as "incredibly handsome" and "please let me by, I am late for work." Andrew is one of the top 150 pharmacists in Birmingham, according to an anonymous source.
Groomsman
Matthew and Alex probably met somewhere between 2009 and 2011, playing ultimate against each other (Florida always beating Alabama, obviously). Matthew was also the inspiration for Alex to both grow his hair out, and then eventually cut it because it would never look as good as Matthew's.
Groomsman
Alex met Joey right around the time that Joey was getting some elective skin surgery, and then became significantly closer rolling dice together in our friend John's apartment while shouting at one another. Joey is an absolute "cracker jack" of a dentist.
Groomsman
Chris and Alex are incredibly old friends. They used to play ultimate together in Wash Park in Denver, around 2006. Back then Alex thought Chris was SO cool and wanted to learn how to play ultimate from him. Even though his wife Stacey tried to turn Chris against Alex, their friendship persevered and now here he is ready to support Alex through getting married, which Chris has described as "great."
