A favorite brewery of ours, we went here on our second date! We recommend one of their many sours, perfect for the summer in Alabama.

A great upscale restaurant serving small plates, family style (so don't go here with anyone you don't like). Pro tip- order the biscuits w/ honey butter for appetizers AND dessert...you're welcome. If you're planning on going while you're in town - reservations are needed well in advance! (Even just for lunch!)
Automatic Seafood and Oysters
If you love fresh oysters, this is the place for you. Outstanding space with a great bar, custom cocktails, and fabulous seafood menu. A Birmingham must. Sometimes you can get lucky and show up and get a seat at the bar, but we'd recommend getting reservations in advance if you want to ensure your spot.
Juniper
Neighborhood gin bar in one of our favorite Birmingham neighborhoods, Forest Park. Try the buzzword - a cocktail based around chewing on a Szechuan flower to numb your mouth and change the flavor profile!
Red or White Birmingham
Our favorite neighborhood wine store right in the heart of Forest Park. They also have restaurant space where you can try any number of their wines by the glass, and have great appetizers. Perfect spot for casual drinks and some food.
