Wedding Party

The friends & family you see below have played important parts in our lives and relationship one way or another. Through laughs, love, and constant support we couldn't have picked a better party! We love each and every one of them and can't wait to celebrate!

Brittany

Maid of Honor

I’ve got so many memories with Alex but one of my favorite memories is when she moved to FL and we became roommates! Boy did we have a time tearing that state up! Of course we both had friends but the moments I had there with her were the most enjoyable. You were part of my home, my home away from home. ❤️

Benson

Best Man

Johnson and I met during our time at the Police Academy and we instantly clicked. We were both bigger than everyone else in the class and the only two black guys LOL. Outside of being physical oddballs, we motivated each other to complete each and every course. That motivation was what I needed because I probably would have quit after the third week. Johnson and I have had the same vision and goals which was to make something of ourselves and to bring positive change to our communities and within our families. Though now we have both grown into different fields of work, we maintained our friendship, our kids are growing up together, and I know we will forever have a brotherly bond. I Love you man and couldn't be happier to experience this moment with you.

Royalle

Matron of Honor

Me and Alex first met back in 2011, during our junior year of high school. It was one of our first volleyball practices of the year and Beyoncé had just came out with her song, “Run the World (Girls)”. At this point Alex had already learned the choreography and was practicing. Being the Beyoncé fan I am, I joined along. We laughed so hard when Coach Spain yelled and told us to get on the corner ( inside joke, really just meaning run until she says stop) due to us goofy off. Go figure our love for the song Who run the world ended up with us literally running for what felt like hours! Me and Alex have been Bestfriend’s ever since.

Tyra

Bridesmaid

My favorite memory with Alex is after we became friends, we started calling ourselves Salt & Pepper. With the names, we choreographed a dance to "Nasty gal" by Vanity 6 and thought from then on were attached at the hip. The names stuck with us all through college and continue on til this day. I'm so happy I get to witness my best friend get married and can't wait until the big day!

Donovan

Groomsman

My favorite memory is when DJ and I were out with our then girlfriends at a local bar downtown St.Louis. There were a few guys at the bar who were slightly intoxicated an had a poor choice of words directed at bot of us. And we both stood up at the exact same time.... and the rest was history. At that moment I knew we were bros

Kareema

Bridesmaid

One of my favorite memories with the bride-to-be was when she ran for high school homecoming court. She hosted a campaign decoration party, and a group of us were supposed to go over to Alex’s house to help make decorations. For whatever reason, the others weren’t able to make it and it turned out being just me and Alex. That was one of the first times we had really gotten to know each other on a deeper level. I still remember passing out cosmic brownies to our schoolmates saying “here’s a brownie, vote for brownie”. We spent all night talking and bouncing creative ideas off each other like we do so often now. Fast forward to today, we both obsess over hobby lobby and target.

Monroe

Groomsman

My favorite memory about The Future Mr. and Mrs. Johnson has to be the parties. I couldn't just choose one. Whether it was celebrating the loft downtown they had or celebrating the new life they were bringing into the world they have always known how to celebrate and make those around them feel like family. Im excited to share more memories together

Anissa

Bridesmaid

Alex and I met through a mutual friend in 7th grade. We would all hang out together having fun as kids do. Once we reached high school, second semester to be exact, she transferred to McCluer. I was super shy back then so I was soooo happy to finally have a friend at school. We were ioined at the hip at that point! Although she ended up switched schools one again, we stayed close and really became more like sisters. I can't wait for her and DJ's big day!

Alex

Groomsman

My favorite memory of DJ was the time he was literally my guardian angel. The news crew my team and I were overseeing during the riots in St. Louis found ourselves cornered and covered in teargas. I came around the corner and could barely see or breathe and the man responsible was ready to fight me. Out of absolutely nowhere DJ came flying up in his truck and appropriately and peacefully (smirk) convinced this guy to walk away as I was coughing up teargas and trying to get it out of my eyes. You were my guardian angel that night and for the rest of your life, you’ll have to be Alex's guardian angel. Who knows how that night would’ve ended had you not shown up. Maybe my daughter still has a dad because of what he did. Who knows.

Khalia

Bridesmaid

God blessed me with a friend I didn't know i needed from laughing, karaoke, dancing in the middle of the dance floor, popcorn & wine nights, prayer partner, support system, God Mom to my child, and now my Sister in Law. Alex is not my biological sister but blood couldn't make us any closer. I met her through Da'vione aka Johnson. He became the big brother I always needed in my life. Although he is much younger than me, the words of wisdom and how he shows up for mv familv the title "little brother" wouldn't give him justice. Johnson and my husband became close friends through the academv and i was shocked by this pretty hair, piano playing, chef, singer, bob the builder, activist self lol. What is that Johnson can't do? But the best thing he ever did was find Alex I thank God everyday for the extended Family God knew we needed. Love val

Terrance

Groomsman

I met DJ, aka “Buddha”, doing something we both love doing, riding our bikes. We formed a solid bond from the very beginning and since then he has become the older son that I never knew I wanted lol. I have witnessed him grow over the past years tremendously. My favorite memory is from an out of town trip we took. We were all at the pool and Buddha was running to do something and fell so hard but hopped up like nobody saw him. The funny part is, I did see the fall and I will forever remember haha.
