It all began in beautiful Tallahassee Florida, where Dan and Alex were attending Florida State University in 2012. Alex was a Freshman, Dan was a Junior, and they got introduced by their best friends at Bajas Beach Club- some will say it was love at first sight. Fast forward 3 years later, Dan asked Alex to be his date to a wedding in his hometown of Panama City, FL, and she didn't hesitate for one second. The wedding was conveniently hosted at Dan's fathers restaurant, g. Foleys, where they danced the night away as they typically do, & she was lucky enough to meet his parents on their first date. When Alex returned back to FSU, she told all of her friends she was going to marry that boy one day. After several months of doing long distance, Alex had an opportunity to move to Charlotte to be with Dan and kick start her career. Charlotte became their home for almost 4 years, where they made incredible friendships, moved into their first apartment together, traveled the world & sparked their obsession with IPA's. While Alex & Dan loved Charlotte, their sales careers took them back to Alex's hometown of Washington D.C. During the pandemic, they found themselves on daily monument walks, admiring the beautiful views, and they found their favorite location right on the reflection pond by the World War II Memorial. Dan took note of these special walks & right after his birthday on January 21, 2022, he was able to get Alex to go on a sunset monument walk on the coldest day of the year, where he proposed at their special spot. 7 years and 3 cities later, Alex & Dan are finally engaged! They look forward to celebrating with their family and friends in Mexico!
