A great walking trail, pretty easy and takes only about 55 minutes.
The County Co-Op & Farm Store
This is a beautiful little co-op style country store, with lots of good food and coffee, and products from local artists! It's one of our favorite places to stop when we're in Houlton :)

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Houlton!
Mount Katahdin Scenic Overlook
This is a gorgeous roadside scenic view of Mt. Katahdin, right off of I95N. It's about a 45 minute drive from Houlton, but we just stop by on the way up from Wells :)
The Stephen & Tabitha King Foundation
Stephen King's famous house in Bangor; we stopped once on our way to camp so that we could feel like real Mainers. They're also a great non-profit that supports local community orgs. Don't forget to see the giant Paul Bunyan statue just down the street!
Paul Bunyan Statue
It's literally just a giant statue of Paul Bunyan, but it has a really interesting history and ties to Bangor's origins as a logging town! Also it inspired the murderous statue in "IT" by Stephen King. What more could you want in a roadside attraction?
