When should I RSVP by?

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. Ladies: knee-to-midi length dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or elegant separates. Gentlemen: suits or dress shirts with slacks and a tie.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To allow all guests to relax and enjoy the evening, we have chosen to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

St. Luke's Chapel: The Ashley-Rutledge Parking Garage is the closest location to the chapel, with entrances at 135 Rutledge Avenue and 158 Ashley Avenue. There is also street parking if you are lucky! Upstairs at 39 Rue de Jean: The Camden/Exchange Garage is next door to the reception and can be accessed via 35 John Street. There is also parking down the street at the Visitors Center Parking Garage at 63 Mary Street. Please note: The reception at 39 Rue de Jean is approximately 1 mile from St. Luke's Chapel. Guests may drive, use a rideshare service, or enjoy a 20–25 minute walk through downtown Charleston.

Are cell phones allowed during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that our ceremony be an unplugged event. Please silence and put away all phones, cameras, and other devices so that everyone can be fully present with us during this special moment.

Entry into Reception

Answer

The reception at 39 Rue de Jean will be held upstairs in a separate private dining space that is accessible by stairs only. The door to enter the reception is to the right of the main restaurant entrance. Please reach out if you have any mobility concerns.
