Apeksha and Luxmi first met in 2005. They have gone to school together since 2009 and even finished their first degree in university together. The two share many traditions; eating fruit salad in Sobeys parking lots, sharing fried chicken for thanksgiving, and matching Halloween costumes every year, their friendship has only gotten stronger with each passing decade.

Since they first became neighbours back in 2007, Leo and Alex have been inseparable. Growing up together, you would rarely find one without the other. Partners in crime (for better or worse), Leo and Alex have maintained their lifelong bond even while living in different provinces for the past five years.

Shani met Apeksha's brother Amila in 2004, and became a part of the Heendeniya family a few years later. Growing up with two older brothers, Apeksha has always wanted a sister, and Shani became an awesome sister (in law) and the number 1 workout buddy! Shani is always first to know of any big news and the best secret keeper for all things life related that Amila can't know.

The yin to Alex's yang, Mitchell is the best brother Alex could have asked for. Alex and Apeksha's wedding would not be complete without Alex's little brother standing by his side. Always composed and full of laughter, Mitchell is the calm waters complementing Alex's chaotic seas. Behind every loud big brother stands his quiet better-half, and no description of Mitchell fits better than this.

Udara, Apeksha's brother and Shakya were volun-told to dance together back in 2011. They became inseparable, and Shakya became a part of the Heendeniya family instantly and an amazing sister (in law). Shakya and Apeksha share many years of bonding over trashy TV and keeping up with all the latest gossip.

Branden and Alex first met through Leo back in high school, and he is the third musketeer in this unlikely trio of hooligans. The funniest person in every room -- and usually the tallest -- Branden is a constant joy to be around. If having fun and sharing a laugh is what you're looking for, Branden is irreplaceable as the not-so-secret ingredient.

Susari is Apeksha's oldest friend, they were born in the same hospital in Sri Lanka and met in 1995! From Apeksha stealing Susari's toys to being forced to be friends when they were young, they eventually became friends (by choice) when they both moved to Canada. Their 30 years (ish) of friendship is a bond like no other!

Alex's oldest friend, Blair and Alex first met when they became neighbours back in 2000; fast forward to the present-day in Calgary, and these two are neighbours once again! From their shared love of extreme sports, music, and fitness, these two have done it all together, with plenty more memories to come.

Apeksha met Aditi back in 2009 on the first day of high school! After many years of sleepovers, wake-a-thons, and an unforgettable Mexico trip and matching lime tattoos, Aditi has been one of Apeksha's closest friends for over 15 years. Aditi is that friend that will always have your back and you can always count on her for the best career advice!
