This trail is just under 30 minutes east of our venue. For those who are brave and want to escape the heat of daylight, this trail provides a fun adventure. Don't forget your headlamp or flashlight!
Powell's City of Books

We stop at Powell's almost every time we are in Portland. It's a must-do for book lovers. In 2015, we spent an afternoon leaving cute notes in random books in the endless stacks of books (see pic above).
