An icon of Rio de Janeiro, the idea is to spend this day on and around Sugarloaf Mountain. At its base is the famous Urca neighborhood, with its picturesque fishing culture and amazing sea views. There is a hidden little beach nearby for swimming and kicking back. Later we will ride the gondola up the Sugarloaf and take in scenic views of Rio and the sunset with Caipirinhas in hand! We will meet at 11:00 am, on Rua Professor Artur Ramos, 156 Leblon to coordinate transportation for all those wanting to join.

This will be a chill day on one of Rio's nicest beaches, regaining our strengths and contemplating the meaning of life. We will meet at 12:00 pm, on Rua Professor Artur Ramos, 156 Leblon and walk there together.

Joa Beach and Trekking Up to Pedra Bonita / Praia do Joa e Subida até a Pedra Bonita

Summer Attire and Swimwear (Shoes if Desired)

On this day we will visit one of the more hidden jewels of Rio: Joa Beach, more popular with the locals. This small stretch of sand is nestled between incredible rock formations. Following some time there, we will proceed to trek up to Pedra Bonita, a massive solid granite mountain with some of the most spectacular views of Rio. Plenty of Brazilian fauna and flora. The way up is not strenuous at all, with no climbing involved, and perhaps a total duration of 35 minutes each way. We will meet at 10:00 am, on Rua Professor Artur Ramos, 156 Leblon to coordinate transportation for all those wanting to join.

New Year's Fireworks at Copacabana Beach / Fogos de Réveillon em Copacabana

Each year, there are approximately 2.5 million people who show up in Copacabana Beach dressed in white, ready to welcome the New Year and party up. We shall join our bothers in arms!
