Alexa's perspective One weekend evening, Alexa went to her father's restaurant, MAHD House Bar & Grille to get dinner. She was on the brand new patio enjoying early summer air. There was a sudden loud burst of energy and sound that stumbled in, leaving a few clumps of dirt from his boots when he walked. He walked in with a couple of the regulars Alexa used to serve when she worked as a waitress there. A regular/mutual friend of the bride and groom stood next to Alexa who was eating cheese fries at the time, and chatted about how they had just got done fishing that day and that the boat was in the parking lot. Zach stood between 2 regulars while he suddenly became quiet, drinking his beer. After a while, Zach began singing a song loudly and laughing, so Alexa offered him her fries. Zach told her he got a few fish that day, so he took her to the parking lot to show her the boat and the cooler. When they walked back to the patio, they sat all night together. A few days later, Zach and Alexa saw each other again at the restaurant and again another time shortly after. That last time, Alexa was there with her father, and her father had drank a couple beers. He saw Zach trying to talk to Alexa so he very loudly in front of everyone in the bar including family members said "get over here" and so Zach went over to him and took a knee to see what this was about. Jimmy said, "what are your intentions with my daughter" in a joking way, but Zach took it seriously. He said something along the lines of "nothing bad, I just like her." Jimmy said, "she's too good for you" and Zach said, "I know." The rest of the conversation is still between them. After this evening, Zach got Alexa's number and texted her to come by a 4th of July celebration. When Alexa got to Zach's dad's house, it was just Zach, a pool, some country music, and a four wheeler. No party in sight, just them. Alexa decided to stay and they had such a fun filled time. They had their first kiss under fireworks on the 4th of July and began dating. Zach's perspective Zach went up after fishing one day and Alexa walked through the glass doors onto the patio. He thought "dang who's that?" And a regular said, "that's the owner's daughter." He says "I thought she was really beautiful." When she got to the bar to order food, he sat next to her and asked about what she ordered. They kept talking the rest of the evening, waiting for an Uber that Alexa swears never existed. When the bar closed down, they were sitting in Alexa's tailgate, waiting for the Uber, when Zach said "the Uber canceled." Zach asked Alexa to drive him home, as she was sober as a bird. She said yes, and drove him home as any responsible person would. When they got to the house, Alexa unlocked her doors and Zach got out. Alexa drove home laughing and Zach went to bed that night thinking about a pretty girl he had to chase.
