Meet the people who will be by our side while we say "I DO"

Kaylin Drayer

Matron of Honor

I am truly blessed to have my sister as my Matron of Honor. Not only has she been a huge support in the past, but I am confident she will continue to stand by me in the future. What makes our bond so special is how different we are in all the best ways. Kaylin possesses strengths that I admire and that complement my weaknesses. Her confidence and love in public speaking and tech-savviness are just a few examples. And just to put everyone's minds at ease, yes, I've given her a time limit for her speech! 😄 The love I have for her growing family and the love she shares for the people in my life is truly special. Our connection goes beyond just us; it extends to the people we surround ourselves with. I will always look up to the person, mother, wife, and friend she is, knowing she is the definition of a strong women.

Summer Schaffer

Bridesmaid

Summer is the longest-standing friend I've had in my life. Our friendship goes all the way back to the summer 2012 of high school. The world of cheerleading brought so many amazing things into my life, and Summer is undoubtedly one of the most precious. We've truly grown up together, starting from the smallest of life problems, to facing monumental life events side by side. Our journey together has been marked by shared experiences, shared laughter, and shared tears. As we change and evolve as individuals, it's a testament to the strength of our friendship that it remains so effortless. Here's to a lifetime of shared adventures, laughter, and fun grocery shopping trips together!

Elisabeth Moegle

Bridesmaid

Elisabeth, more often known as Liz, is the first friend I ever made in college. We were matched together on acceptance day at the University of Detroit Mercy, and I often wonder how different my life would be today if it hadn't been for her. So many aspects of my life fell into place following us being matched. Liz is, hands down, the most adventurous person I know. I genuinely wonder if she ever doesn't have a suitcase packed for her next trip around the world. Heck, she even recently ran an international marathon (proud friend moment)! Her dedication and her selflessness continually inspire me to be a better friend and a better person. Liz reminds all of us to live life to the fullest and take full advantage of everyday!

Kathryn Walkowski

Bridesmaid

Kathryn, more often known as Katie or Kath, is a truly special friend. As our lives fell into place after our high school senior year, it felt like the universe had already decided that we were destined to be college buddies. Or perhaps we just got super lucky with the roommate lottery! Either way, I'm forever thankful for the time we spent living together throughout our college journey and feel even luckier to call her my best friend a decade later. Despite the busyness of life and the distance that separates us, every interaction we share feels as if no time has passed at all. Whether we're hanging out or meeting up, it seems that no amount of time will ever be sufficient to contain all the chit-chat and laughter we have together.

Shannon Sohns

Bridesmaid

Shannon and I didn't have the smoothest start to our friendship; it required effort and understanding right from the beginning. However, what makes our friendship so special now are the countless moments and experiences we've shared together. Our bond has deepened with trust, unwavering support, and the shared laughter that has carried us through life's highs and lows. And I am so blessed for the strong, hilarious friend I found in her.😊 I know I can always count on a call from Shannon while she's driving around. What begins as a brief 5-minute chat usually turns into a full hour of catching up. She has a remarkable way of making me feel cherished in her life and has consistently embraced Shamus and me as part of her family. Thank you for the countless rides around town, even when you live a half-hour away. Your kindness and willingness to go the extra mile (literally) mean the world to me!

Erika Cook

Bridesmaid

In joining Shamus' family, I gained five new siblings and their spouses, and I must say, I truly hit the jackpot of sister-in-laws. One of them has quickly become not just family but also a close friend and ally. That special person is Erika, who is married to Shamus' brother Charlie. They live just a city over from us, which makes our double date nights incredibly easy and, let's be honest, a little dangerous for our wallets! Since the day I met Erika, she has been one of my biggest cheerleaders and my number one hype woman. She supports not only my relationship with Shamus but also my life and goals as an individual. Erika is the brightest light in a room and always down for a good time. Her infectious energy and enthusiasm make every moment more enjoyable.

Officiant

Jake, married to Liz, one of Alexa's bridesmaids, has been a part of Alexa's life since he and Liz started dating many years ago. Shamus and Jake have shared countless memories as they've kept up with their women's crazy adventures together. As this is Jake's first time officiating a wedding, Alexa and Shamus have full faith that he will excel in his role. Jake isn't just a role model as an individual; he's an even better spouse and friend to those around him. With his drive and passion, this wedding will be no exception. When you see Jake at the reception, be sure to raise a glass and give him a cheer!
