Housed in the same park as Hoyt Arboretum, the Japanese Garden is one of Portland's hidden treasures. We came here (on the recommendation of my uncle Matt) as soon as I touched down in Portland after four months of not seeing Manny, having been abroad in Cusco, Peru. A much anticipated reunion blossomed between us on our quiet walk through these peaceful paths.
Our favorite Thanksgiving tradition is to catch a Portland Trailblazers game. While they're not in season, we love to see a show here too. Portland's Rose!
We had a blast taking our engagement photos at the second largest arcade in the world! Our dear friends Tamara and Jared helped us capture fond memories that day.
I've been hooked since the moment Manny introduced me to their marionberry shake ... which, come to think of it, will be in season this August ;)
Our first post-moving-long-distance date in Utah! We have loved aquariums ever since.
You can't visit Utah without trying one of our world-famous soda shops. Manny and I's favorite is FiiZ, hands down. You'll catch me with a Professor with Dr. Pepper, and Manny might, key word there, add coconut to his Coke.
