Note from the couple:
Alexa's family lake (Evan's Lake) is nestled in the small town of Tipton, Michigan in the Irish Hills. They have been going to this lake since Alexa's mom was a young child. Please please please book early to ensure you have a great place to stay during our wedding festivities. We have 3 different type of accommodations for you all. 1) Airbnb 2) Hotels 3) Cabin rentals If you want to experience the lake like Alexa's family does every summer, we recommend looking for an Airbnb either on Evans Lake or one of the other close by lakes. This would be especially fun if you had more family and friends to share the Airbnb with. We also have found that if you call the host directly, they may offer it without the fees if you go directly thru the owner and not the website. Adjacent lakes are: Sand Lake Wampler's Lake Iron Lake If you would like the comforts of a hotel there are 3 cities within 30-45 min from the Lake that offer great hotel stays. We recommend Adrian due to its proximity. Near by cities for hotels: Adrian (20 min south of our lake) Jackson (39 min north of our lake) Ann Arbor (45 min east of our lake) If you would like something in the middle of an Airbnb and a hotel, there are a limited number of cabins on Evan's Lake, but they do fill up fast especially in the summer months. Alexa's family always travels to this airport and then enjoys the 1 hour scenic drive south to their families lake house (known as the Cottage) Plan on booking your flight 6-8 weeks prior (April-May) for best prices Rental cars are available at this airport

Now this place has a special place in Alexa's heart. When spending summers at the Cottage, her family would spend countless hours at this Western Style Attraction called "stagecoach stop". Now it has been shut down as an atraction, but is open for lodging. It is very much a family style rustic experience. But it is just down the road from our lake.
