Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The Ceremony will be formal with a slight island twist. The ceremony is taking place either on the beach or an outside venue, as long as weather permits, so light comfortable clothing encouraged. Ladies, heels that are easy to take off should be something to consider but if you prefer nice sandals that's okay too! This does not mean shorts or flip flops. However, nice short sleeved button ups are allowed while we are outside (this does not mean everyone bring their Hawaiian shirt either). Keep in mind that the ceremony is a very short period of the day and we will be moving inside immediately after. If you think the heat will be a problem, I encourage a short sleeve shirt for the ceremony with a quick change before cocktail hour! This is a FORMAL event so suits are required for the reception!!

Question

Are the little kids invited? (16 and below)

Answer

We would love to have them join us but the short answer is no. So please accommodate someone to watch them while you come and celebrate us in Puerto Rico! If you have any further questions and concerns please feel free to reach out!

Question

Do I need a Passport?

Answer

No, Puerto Rico is a US territory!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation will state whether you were given a plus one or not!

Question

Why won't it give me a food choice selection at this time?

Answer

We are currently planning to do a classic Puerto Rican buffet for dinner, so there will be a wide variety of foods to choose from!

Question

I have a food allergy or a special diet, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes of course! Please reach out to Alexa or Francis as soon as possible or email afwedding24@gmail.com

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

As soon as possible! Since this is a destination wedding we are trying to get a head count as soon as we can but of course the decision does not have to be made immediately. Currently there is no set date to RSVP but there will be a set date as soon as official wedding invitations are sent out!

Question

Where is the best area to stay?

Answer

We encourage staying at the Fairmont El San Juan, even though we decided to opt out of the room block option. We know this hotel is on the more expensive side so this can be an option just for the night of the wedding. Please refer back to the travel section for cheaper options in the area. Of course you are not limited to these hotels only. Air BNB is a great option in Puerto Rico, the best near by areas are Carolina, Old San Juan, Isla Verda and Condado

Question

How far away is the airport from the hotel?

Answer

The Fairmont El San Juan hotel is only about 10 minutes from the airport (along with many other hotels). At the airport you can either call an uber/lyft or take a taxi. Many of the natives speak English so you will be able to find your way around just fine!

For all the days along the way
