If you're in town all day on Saturday, this is the place to be!  There's tons of food, local produce, beer, & wine, musical performances, & more.

Des Moines' Downtown Farmers’ Market

Located right in the Hotel Fort lobby, you can have a delicious, upscale dinner here or a cocktail at the bar.

Proudfoot & Bird

Located right in the Hotel Fort lobby, this is a great place to grab breakfast & coffee in the morning, & a glass of wine in the evening.

Hobnob Coffee and Wine Bar

Located next to Hotel Fort, this local restaurant serves southern comfort food that's great for brunch or dinner.

Bubba

One of Alexa & Dan's favorite restaurants.  They serve both American food & sushi.  They also have fantastic cocktails & brunch.  It is a very short walk from Hotel Fort.

Fresko

Alexa's favorite coffee shop in the city!  She'd recommend their oat milk draft latte.

Northern Vessel

One of Des Moines most famous restaurants!  Perfect for grabbing a breakfast pastry or a quick lunch.

La Mie Bakery

A great place for brunch or to sit down & have a cup of coffee.  There's multiple locations, so make sure you go to the one located downtown.

St. Kilda Cafe & Bakery

Another yummy brunch recommendation.  They're known for their homemade poptarts.

HomeGrown Des Moines - Crescent

If you're a fan of tapas, this is the place to be.  They also have great pizza & happy hour deals!

Eatery A

If you love charcuterie as much as Dan & Alexa do, this is the perfect spot to go!

Cheese Bar

Dan & Alexa's favorite Iowa winery.  They also have a beautiful outdoor space to sit & enjoy your wine.

Jasper Winery

A great place to try some local Iowa beer!  They also have a large patio with outdoor games & lots of TV's to watch any games going on.

Big Grove Brewery & Taproom

Located on the roof of the AC Hotel, this is one of Dan & Alexa's favorite places for a cocktail.

The Republic on Grand

Located downtown, this is a great park to walk through & look at the artwork.
