we’re getting married!

Our story began simply enough: under the busy kitchen of a Chick-fil-A in the summer of 2024. What started as coworkers, however, quickly blossomed into something deeper. Our friendship was truly cemented through a shared conversation about God—a connection that immediately set us on a path where we simply haven't stopped talking since. For several months, we were the definition of "best friends." Though the connection was undeniable and our friends constantly teased us (they knew before we did!), it took a little longer for Alexa to catch up to the feelings Carlos had clearly worn on his sleeve. We held onto that special friendship until one day, realizing the depth of what we shared, Alexa took a leap of faith. It was time to open the metaphorical "box" of our feelings and seriously discuss a future together. After just one date and a few weeks of intentional courting, we officially began our journey on May 24th, 2025. Like any true partnership, our path has not been without its challenges. We navigated tough situations, yet, through every difficulty, our deep, shared faith in God served as our steadfast anchor. We discovered that love is a mirror, and to be truly seen by one another—in our struggles and our strengths—is to be loved completely. This foundation allowed us to truly see, accept, and stick close to one another, helping us grow both individually and as a couple. In 2026, we embraced a major life change by taking the opportunity to move to North Carolina. We saw it as a chance to build an even better future, a future we are now thrilled to step into together as husband and wife. We are so grateful for everyone who has supported us on this journey and can’t wait to celebrate with you as we begin our next chapter!
