Villa Medicea di Lilliano dates back to the 11th Century and served first as a watch tower for nearby Florence. The location was home to many noble Florentine families throughout its early history. Grand Duke Ferdinando II then purchased it in the 1646 and twenty years later it was appointed to Franceso Maria de' Medici as a residence to the Medici family. It's entertained many important figures in history including King Frederick IV, artist Pietro Dandini who painted frescos throughout the villa, and now you!
Villa Medicea risale all'XI secolo e fu la prima torre di guardia vicino Firenze. La villa fu la dimora di molte famiglie nobili fiorentine nel corso della sua antica storia. Il Granduca Ferninando II l'acqistò nel 1646 e vent'anni dopo fu destinata da Francesco Maria de' Medici come residenza della famiglia. Ha ospitato molte figure importanti della storia tra cui il re Federico IV, l'artista Pietro Dandini che ha dipinto affreschi in tutta la villa, e ora tu!
