Do you have a COVID-19 vaccine policy?

Answer

Yes, out of love and respect for our guests and vendors we will require all guests to be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 at our wedding celebration. We strongly encourage all guests to get a COVID test prior to the wedding to ensure we are all negative, as asymptomatic breakthrough cases are unfortunately a thing.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. We want our special day to be celebrated with only our closest friends & family. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

What should we wear?

Answer

We ask that guests wear cocktail attire for our big day. Dresses & suit/tie are recommended! Please no jeans.

Question

How frequently will the bus run, and what time will it pick us up before the ceremony?

Answer

The bus pickup/drop-off schedule will be on the Travel & Accommodations section as we get closer to September!

Can I drive to the welcome party on Friday?

Answer

Yes! Anyone is welcome to drive to the welcome party on Friday and park at Mad River Barn.

Can I drive to the wedding on Saturday?

Answer

No. We must limit those driving to the Mad River Barn on Saturday to our on-site guests and handicapped guests. Please plan on taking the shuttle to/from all of the wedding fun!

Is everything at the same venue (ceremony, reception, after party)?

Answer

Yep! Our ceremony will likely be on the lawn, followed by cocktail hour in the heated outside pavilion, and the reception at the inside pavilion. The after party will be at the Mad River Barn Pub, which is steps away from the reception pavilion.

I have a food allergy. Can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, the chef at Mad River Barn is more than willing to accommodate your dietary needs. Please let us know when you RSVP if you have a food allergy, or need vegan, or gluten free options for dinner. We have a vegetarian option for dinner.

Why does the wedding end so early?

Answer

Due to the area's noise ordinances, amplified music must end at 9:30pm. But that doesn't mean the party has to end! The party will move to the Inn's pub where the music will continue and there will be bar games and a cash bar!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. However we ask that we keep our wedding kid-free. Thank you for your understanding.

Will there be a farewell brunch on Sunday morning?

Answer

We will be at the Mad River Barn for a farewell breakfast from 8am-10am on Sunday! For those that are staying off-site, you can purchase breakfast at the MRB if you'd like OR you can just stop by to say goodbye to us before we head out on our mini-moon!
