Wedding Party

Meet the people who mean a lot to us (and are also very photogenic). "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." - Proverbs 27:17

Hannah Woodruff

Maid of Honor

Hannah and I have been best friends since birth (we were literally born on the same day). She is inexplicably loyal and always has the cutest Madewell finds. I have no idea what my life would look like without her presence, but I know it wouldn't be nearly as sweet.

Benjamin Harvey

Best Man

Benjamin is generous, adventurous, and passionate about people. They say having a brother is like having a built in best friend. While we didn’t always believe in that sentiment growing up, we eventually hit our stride. Whether it’s running 60 miles in his living room, sleeping on the streets of Boston, or going all in on a hobby he started 2 days ago, the name Benjamin can often be synonymous with the word extreme. But Benjamin is also extreme in the way he pursues other people and is generous with his time and resources, being willing and excited to give up his comfort for someone else’s.

Claire Smith

Maid of Honor

Claire is by far my most unique friend. She is incredibly personable and quirky (and the best hostess). Claire and her family have had the biggest stamp on my childhood, backed by countless carpools and innumerable laughs. She shows up for me, when and where I need it. A dear friend forever.

Brooks Cheatham

Groomsman

Brooks loves people really well. We first got to know each other at Officer retreat Junior year of college. Brooks was upset he drew the short straw and had to share a room with me instead of some of the other guys. Thankfully, those few nights spent staying up talking until 3 am turned into an incredibly strong friendship marked by 5 hour coffee shop talks, endless hot takes, McAlister’s water, and pointing each other back to Jesus every day #Matt8:20

Catherine Atwood

Bridesmaid

Catherine Haley Atwood is incredible. Not only does she give the world's best back scratches, but she loves you with such an amazing passion. She is the person that will sit with you through the tears and then go with you to get Cane's lemonade because why the heck not. In the words of our dear Hannah, "(S)He's got something special."

Zachary Loggins

Groomsman

Zach is exceptionally intentional and selfless. Despite introducing myself to Zach like 6 times during Songfest Sophomore year, he wasn’t phased in the slightest. When Zach isn’t playing hockey, riding a motorcycle, or talking about he knows everyone in the Christian bubble, he is most likely pouring into someone’s life. Zach would be there for me anytime and anywhere and it's not uncommon that Zach knows more about what's going on in my life than I do.

Kristin Bird

Bridesmaid

Kristin is someone I am always so excited to celebrate, because she celebrates others so well. She is the first to volunteer for hosting a party or get together. Even more than that, Kristin's joy is to know people. She continually strives to know me better and deeper. We have had so many bonding moments, more than I can count. From poorly made lemon drops to home-made memes, this girl has had my back.

Scott Smith

Groomsman

Scott is the life of the party and one of my most loyal friends. From letting me raid his closet for all of our Northgate trips, stealing sorority letters together, and having late-night pillow talks while sharing a room our senior year, Scott is always equally down for an adventure or just being there for someone. I can always count on Scott for the latest drama scoop, but even more so to be a solid friend who is reliable and genuine to everyone.

Helena Shakesby

Bridesmaid

Helena Shakesby is resilient. She passionately pursues "her people" and makes sure that we don't settle for anything less. Throughout college, we had the chance to develop a close friendship that I wouldn't change for the world. We have spent countless hours on the couch, oscillating between reality TV and meaningful conversation. She is my Cane's buddy forever.

Dave Turner

Groomsman

Dave is confident and authentically himself. What do you get when you cross an accountant, wilderness survival expert, and dashing good looks? A man who is confused about what he wants to do with his life, but confident in who he wants to do life with. Dave values other people above himself and is serious about making the most of every moment. At the wedding, you might find Dave ripping his pants on the dance floor, but don’t worry he always keeps a spare pair of skinny jeans on him for moments like this.

Leah Inman

Bridesmaid

Leah is radiant! She shines with optimism and hope in all of life's moments, from heartache to joy. Leah is someone that continually strives to include everyone, including me. I don't know how she can be so talented at so many things, from hosting to candle making. ;) I am so lucky that I have her in my corner and that I get to call her my friend! Also, she is gonna be tik tok famous and the team needed her clout. :)

Jacob Inman

Groomsman

Jacob was one of my first friends freshman year of college and definitely one of the ones I spent the most time with. Even though we only lived together our senior year, I basically lived at the Bayou (Jacob’s house) by how often I was over there. I’ll never forget our early on ambition to turn Island Party into the ACL of College Station, pitching a million-dollar budget to BYX Nationals. But it’s high ambition and big dreams that continued to bond us together over the years. Jacob and I have been through it all together and it’s been amazing seeing him use his gifts and passions to impact the people around him.

Emma Ferguson

Bridesmaid

Emma and I have been friends since high school and have spent many summers at Kamp together! She is an incredibly selfless person and continually goes out of her way to make people feel special. Emma has the most peaceful presence. I think that comes from her amazing ability to listen and make people feel known. Also, she is incredibly chic (think Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's).

Zane Deupree

Groomsman

Zane is equal parts unconventional and genuine. One of my favorite memories with Zane was sitting on campus with a ‘Free Advice’ sign talking with random people for hours and hours about their problems and aspirations. It was the perfect testament of our friendship. Not only can I always turn to Zane for controversial talks about politics, education, or any of the latest trends he is following, but I can always rely on Zane to care about people and be genuinely interested in what is going on in my life.

Stacy Mathis

Bridesmaid

Stacy has been a continual presence in my life for the past 18 years. I could brag about her in so many ways, but what I really admire the most about her is the way that she chooses to love my brother and my sweet little nephews. Her joy is their joy, and that makes me eternally grateful that I get to have her in my life. Stacy is the quiet warrior. Her life as a momma of three boys can be pretty rough (not to mention dirty) and I have never seen an ounce of regret in her heart. I love this momma!

Carson Steinmann

Groomsman

Carson is steadfast and has been one of my longest standing friends. Through high school, college, and the busyness of adult life, Carson has been a consistent and intentional friend through it all. Don’t let Carson’s innocent look fool you, he can fly a plane combat style, has a deadly aim with a shotgun, and I’m pretty sure sleeps with a crossbow under his bed, which is basically like a country version of James Bond. Carson and I have too many good memories to count and I’m excited for many more.

Whitney Mathis

Bridesmaid

I knew from the first moment that I met Whitney that she was special. She volunteered to curl my hair and I had only met her 4 minutes earlier. Whitney has a servant's heart through and through. She also has this rare passion for celebrating people. Something that I love about her is that she always chooses my side even when she knows I am being dramatic (there is nothing more empowering haha). I couldn't think of a better fit for my brother, and even more so, my family. Everyone would be so lucky to have a Whitney in their life!

Jacob Alves

Groomsman

Jacob is deeply passionate about people. The first time Jacob and I met up we ended up talking for over 4 hours about all sorts of deep life topics. Whether you’ve known Jacob forever or just met him, it’s easy to see his authenticity and passion in the way he gets excited to know more about you. Jacob is full of animated stories (ask him about San Francisco), goofy moments, and zeal for the people in his life. Even though he still can’t beat me in tennis (unrelated but important), Jacob pushes me to be a better version of myself every day.
