Our Story

Once upon a time, two young Alexes found themselves at Rice University. As fate would have it, both were randomly assigned to Jones College, one of the eleven residential colleges on campus. After finding themselves always looking forward to seeing each other at campus events and parties, the two began dating in September of 2015. They went on their first date at Barnaby's Cafe in the Museum District, and then Lamas asked Alex if she would take him to Spec's since he wasn't 21 yet. They quickly realized they had each found someone they saw a forever with - one filled with laughter, light teasing, and always having a best friend to talk to. On August 8, 2020, Alex Lamas got down on one knee, and Alex Brown said yes.
