The birthplace of the groom, a small medieval town whose walls date back to the 1200s, with breathtaking views to the Umbrian Sabinian hills (the picture is taken from Ale’s grandma’s house). Come visit the original, untouched medieval town where Alessandro proposed to Heather.
There is a lot to see and do (and eat!) in Rome! The Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Pantheon are just a few things. Be sure to eat fried artichokes in the Jewish Ghetto. It should also be appropriately warm to eat gelato in September.
The year 2025 is the year of the Jubilee. If you are interested in reserving a (free) visit to San Pietro and walk through the Holy Door (open only the year of the Jubilee) you can reserve a visit via the official app: https://www.iubilaeum2025.va/en/applicazione.html It is very easy. We did it from the bus on our way to the Vatican City, but it may be crowded (it was not crowded when we visited it in January). If you want to visit the Musei Vaticani and Cappella Sistina you can reserve it here: https://m.museivaticani.va/content/museivaticani-mobile/it.html
The First Sunday of the month (October 5th) many attractions in Rome are accessible for free. These include the Colosseum, the Fori Imperiali, Pantheon and others. The picture is Heather in Rome in occasion of First Sunday in January 2025.
If you are into the book Chronicles of Narnia, or you just have no time for reading and get the “bigino” (digestible version) from the animated movie Narnia, you cannot miss visiting Narnia, the city that inspired this story. Narni underground is also a great place to visit between one vinello and the other. Fun fact: Narni (Cardona Bridge) is also the the geographical center of Italy. https://www.umbriatourism.it/en/-/il-centro-geografico-d-italia-peninsulare-ponte-cardona#:~:text=The%20Geographical%20Centre%20of%20Mainland%20Italy%20%2D%20Cardona%20Bridge%20%2D%20The%20Geographical,of%20Mainland%20Italy%20%2D%20Cardona%20Bridge
