Playa Grande & Las Baulas National Marine Park: This is by far our favorite beach in Guanacaste and it's only a 30 min drive from Tamarindo. Bring cash to park! It is so pristine and if you're lucky you may catch sight of the sea turtles. Cafe Mar Azul is also a nice little spot where you can grab a quick bite. Try their patacones! Arenal Volcano & Rainforest: If volcanoes don't intimidate you, this is a must see area of Costa Rica! You will get the real rainforest feel of Costa Rica here. It's also where you can experience the thermal hot springs and hanging bridges. Beaches of Nosara & Santa Teresa: Have you heard of the Blue Zones? The Nicoya Peninsula is one of them! A Blue Zone is known for its impressive healthy community of people, where many live past the age of 100. This area of Costa Rica is also known for its gorgeous beaches and incredible surf. Heads up: we would suggest a small SUV car to get around there!
