This will be an outdoor mini wedding and dinner in mid-October. Jackets, shawls, flats and wedges are all recommended. The venue is grassy. Heels are not recommended for ceremony and dinner. Normal wedding attire is great. If you prefer to be more casual, sweater dresses or sundays best also works. Adults are going bar hopping and dancing after- change into whatever you want, or keep it dressy. Up to you!
The ceremony will be at the Steppingstone Farm Museum at 4 pm. Unless there is inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at ‘the stage’ overlooking the Susquehanna. Dinner and Drinks immediately follow.
We will be catering dinner to the pavilion. This is on site of the venue, but a bit of a walk- which is why we recommend flats, wedges, comfortable shoes.
4:00 arrive and shortly after ceremony at the stage Immediately after photos with friends and family, then dinner and drinks on-site. Anyone who would like to join the bride and groom for drinks and dancing can meet us at Coakley’s Pub around 8 pm.
If you drank more than intended, you are welcome to leave your car in the parking lot venue. If you leave your car, you will not be able to move your car until after 9 am, when the park gates re-open.
Due to this being a mini wedding, we are asking guests to book lodging wherever they see fit. Some guests are considering hotels, and other guests are booking air bnb’s.
This is a mini wedding- so think of this as an outdoor fall mixer with good food and drinks for our favorite people. Our “reception” is adults only bar hopping and dancing to follow after we leave venue- wear whatever you want to bar hop in! Stay formal or go casual, doesn’t matter. Bride and groom are staying dressy but do what feels right.
