She made me a big sister, so I’m excited to make her my Maid of Honor. As my first friend, she has been my confidant, my supporter, and my sidekick for over 23 years. She and I have had our moments (I really thought I had gotten rid of her when I ran away at age 4), but I am grateful for all of them because they made us closer. Becca has grown to be a fearless, passionate, and thoughtful woman who now cares for others in their first moments of life as a labor and delivery nurse. She inspires me and I am so blessed to have her as my sister and now my Maid of Honor.

Alek loved going to the gym and playing racquetball with Michael after a long week of studying.

When she walked through the doors of my third grade classroom, my world was changed for the better. I was eager to befriend the new girl, but I was unaware how important Hannah Lodes would be over the next 18 years. Our friendship was fast and strong that year of 3rd grade. When I moved away, it only took a couple years to convince her family to move to Cedarburg too. Over the years, Hannah and I have experienced countless concerts together, giggled during many sleepless sleepovers, and have spent priceless hours in conversation over the phone when miles kept us apart. She is kind, creative, supportive, and I am so excited to have her by my side in the next phase of life.

One of Alek's favorite memories was when he witnessed Kevin scoring 10 goals on the opposing team. Shear dominance.

Megan and I shared the joy of being the first grandchildren in the family, born just 4 months apart. How lucky was I to have an instant best friend to grow up with? Between Christmas’s, birthdays, and various family gatherings, Megan and I spent a considerable amount of time playing, laughing, and enjoying each other's company amongst loved ones. As we grew older, we became closer and made the choice to be friends, spending ample amounts of time shopping and discovering places in MKE. I am thrilled to have her as my cousin, friend, and now my bridesmaid!

Relationship: Best friend and neighbor Years together: Lots Favorite sports team: Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks Hobbies: Hiking, weightlifting, and running (fast) Groom's favorite memory together: Connor was a track prodigy. In high school, Connor and Alek got the chance to attend the Penn Relays, one of the premier track events in the country. It was amazing to watch Connor break the high school record in his relay.

Anna is the beautiful wife of groomsman Nick Lynch. Nick and Anna started dating around the same time as Alek and I, so our relationships have grown together. How lucky am I to have found a best friend through Alek’s best friend. We share a love of music, wine, and the Green Bay Packers. My favorite thing about Anna is how she makes every situation feel so natural- she walks into a room, and everyone immediately wants to get to know her. She is truly one of a kind- bubbly, charismatic, spunky, and supportive. She is one of my go-to people for honest advice, extra-fun, and needed encouragement. I am so grateful to have her in my life as a true friend and as my bridesmaid.

Relationship: Best friend from High School Years together: 20 years Favorite sports team: Minnesota Vikings, North Central Football, and Notre Dame Football Hobbies: Lifting weights, playing with his dogs Harley and Rita, spending time with his wife Anna Groom's favorite memory together: Alek had the honor of being in Nick's wedding party. Alek will forever remember watching the joy, happiness, and more specifically, the tears, of one of his best friends marrying his better half.

While I did not have an older sister, I found one in Susannah Carson. Susannah and I attended North Shore Congregational Church growing up, and I admired her grace, beauty and joyful personality each Sunday. I jumped on the opportunity to get to know her better for a confirmation interview with a church member I looked up to. She kindly agreed to answer my questions and immediately, our friendship took off. We’ve experienced countless life moments (the good and the bad) together. She has always been there for me as a mentor, shoulder to cry on, and an instigator for a good time. I’m so thankful for her, her involvement in my life, and that she agreed to be my bridesmaid.

Relationship: Best friend from High School Years together: 20 Favorite sports team: Da Bears Hobbies: Playing volleyball, boating, and golfing Groom's favorite memory together: During college summers, Jack was gracious enough to let his friends come on his family's boat. Alek remembers struggling with waterskiing, but with the coaching and encouragement of Jack, he was able to successfully stand up. The excitement Jack had was genuine, just like his and Alek's friendship.
Alissa Ahlemeyer

Alissa and I met at our alma mater- Marquette University. During my time as an apartment manager at Campus Town East, Alissa was one of my desk receptionists. It wasn’t long before she turned into my friend, more-so than my employee! I often would sit with her at the desk during her shifts to chat and pass the time. During my last year at Marquette when Alek and I lived a state apart, Alissa was my rock and person who dragged me out of my apartment when I was lonely. We went on many adventures and grew incredibly close. Although miles keep us apart these days (565 miles to be exact), our friendship grows stronger each and every day. She is outgoing, charming, and truly a joy to be around. My bridesmaid crew would be incomplete without her!

Relationship: Medical school roommate and best friend Years together: 6 Favorite sports team: Denver Nuggets Hobbies: playing basketball, traveling, exploring national parks Groom's favorite memory together: Colten and Alek somehow snagged box tickets to the Bulls game from a lawyer they met at a Stritch School of Medicine networking event. Following the game, they decided it would be a good idea to close down Loyola's staple bar- Doc Ryan's Pub.

Rebekah, AKA Beks, and I met through our handsome men who both went to high school, college, and joined the same fraternity together. Whenever a fraternity event rolled around, my first question to Matt was… “Is Beks coming???” Her fun-loving, positive attitude made it easy to be best friends with her instantaneously. Beks encouraged me to apply to Midwestern University for my graduate degree- a health sciences graduate school that she attended for her physician’s assistant program. She spent hours with me the night before my interview prepping me with questions and calming my nerves. I would not be where I am today without her help that night. I’m so happy to have her with me as my bridesmaid on my wedding day!

Some of Alek's favorite memories during this time was observing Matt's uncanny ability to fall asleep on and/or around different objects at any point, place, and time.

The weirdness seemed to be amplified when corn was on the menu for some reason. Tommy's joy is contagious and being around him will always leave you feeling better.

There was always something funny going on when they all got together, but somehow most nights ended with Eddie and Alek wrestling or boxing one another.

Bride's favorite memory together: Watching him grow up. I remember every phase of life- from a toddler walking down the street for cookies in a diaper and rainboots, watching his baseball and basketball games as a kid, to now helping him with his college papers. He's always around to chat, poke some fun at me, and make others happy.
