Here’s how it works: - Pickup: The driver can pick you up at the San Diego airport or another designated San Diego location. DOCUMENTS NEEDED FOR TRAVEL - U.S. Citizens
1. Passport Book and or Passport Card 2 .FMM Tourist Permit - if traveling beyond the border zone (12-20 miles into Mexico) or staying more than 7 days, you must get an FMM (Forma Migratoria Multiple). We recommend filling our the form online and keeping a tangible copy with you at all times along with your passport. FYI THIS IS NOT A NEW RULE, JUST BEING TOLD THAT IT COULD BE ENFORCED MORE. As of January 2025, there are two direct flight routes from the United States to Tijuana International Airport (TIJ): Phoenix, Arizona (PHX): Operated year-round by American Airlines. Las Vegas, Nevada (LAS): Operated year-round by Volaris. These flights connect Tijuana with Phoenix and Las Vegas, facilitating travel between these U.S. cities and Tijuana, Mexico.
