Tips from the Bride & Groom

We know that we may "create waves" with our non-traditional wedding. So, please take some time to review our tips below so that you can best enjoy this weekend of fun in the sun!
Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we adore your kids, we have limited space (and intend to party)! So, treat yourself to a night off, call your best sitter, and make it a date night. **Please note, all events are 21 & over.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The attire is "Tiki Bar Chic." Yes, we made this up, so for a bit of clarification, read below! Gentlemen - feel free to wear rolled up button downs, slacks & boat or dress shoes. Ladies - this is your night to shine bright like a lighthouse in your semi-formal floor length or cocktail dresses. We encourage wedges as the afterparty will have sand, but we will, of course, have you covered with a chancleta station! *No flip flops, sandals, or jeans please!

Question

How soon should we book a hotel room?

Answer

March is peak season for Jupiter, Florida, and we will not be providing room blocks. Therefore, we encourage you to book your accommodations as early as April of 2022. Please feel free to visit our "Travel" tab for suggestions. We will be staying at the Jupiter Waterfront Inn!

Question

Do we have to book a hotel?

Answer

For those who are local to South Florida, Jupiter is about a 1.5 to 2 hour drive. While we'd love for you to celebrate with us throughout the weekend, we understand if you prefer to skip the hotel rooms and make the drive.

Question

Will there be dinner at the wedding?

Answer

While we will not have a traditional wedding dinner, there will be an open bar and plenty of hearty bite-sized tiki bar options such as Coconut Shrimp, Sliders, Mini Mahi Sandwiches, Brisket Quesadillas, Desserts, and more. Not to mention a cheesy surprise come time for hora loca! We understand that this may "create waves" for some; therefore, please feel free to dine before our ceremony if necessary.

Question

What is the weather like in March?

Answer

March tends to be warm and breezy by the water; however, temperatures can drop at night. Therefore, we encourage you to pack a light sweater, jacket, or shawl for the evening festivities!
