The Couple
Becca and Alec met in 2020 and quickly bonded. They met for dinner for their first date. When they realized they both drove Honda Civics and ordered the same meal for dinner, they knew it was something special. They talked until the restaurant closed, and have been inseparable ever since. Becca is from Uniontown, Pennsylvania but relocated to Winchester, Virginia in 2018. She enjoys listening to podcasts/audiobooks/music, singing, spending weekends with family and friends, and playing board games. Alec is from Manassas, Virginia. He enjoys skateboarding, reading, playing video games, and watching movies. Becca and Alec have lived together in Winchester, Virginia since 2022 and they have two pets together: Bernie the dog, and Pickles the cat.
Zach Reese
Bridesman/Officiant
Becca and Zach met in the 9th grade when they were assigned to create a "math rap" together in geometry class. After school, they started chatting every night on MSN messenger about school, life, Spongebob, and American Idol. They spent many hours together at musical practice, studying at Panera, playing board games, and laughing at their endless inside jokes. Their time as friends has continued to shape Becca's personality, sense of humor, and outlook on life due to their time spent together during those formative years. Since high school, Zach has continued to be one of Becca's biggest supporters - always lending an ear, giving advice, and making her laugh. He will always make time for you, and he always knows the right things to say. Becca and Alec are honored to have Zach officiate their wedding.
Troy Walker
Best Man
Alec's younger brother and also his best man! Troy has grown from Alec's kid brother to an accomplished young man before his eyes. Alec and Troy enjoy sharing complementary interests in music, movies, and books, and also enjoy the occasional parental roast. Troy is always up for a game night with Alec and Becca and is consistently the opponent to watch out for (e.g. the two week vacation where we played Catan each night before bed and Troy won 95% of the games). Though soft spoken, he character shines through. He is caring, selfless and wise beyond his years and Alec is grateful to call Troy his brother. As Papa Gene once said, "When Troy talks, you listen."
Kate Prekrel
Maid of Honor
Becca met Kate in the 3rd grade. Becca had just moved to a new school, and on her first day, Kate approached her during recess and introduced herself. Later that day, she gave her a lucky charms pencil and welcomed her to the school. They've been best friends ever since. With over 20 years of friendship, Kate and Becca grew up together, and have been with each other through all of life's big milestones. Kate is always there to provide laughter, unconditional support, and positive vibes with her kind heart and bubbly personality. It only makes sense that Kate would stand beside Becca on her wedding day as maid of honor, lending the same love and support as the first day they met.
Brandon White
Groomsman
Alec's cousin and juvenile partner in crime. Known by members of the family as "Chomper". Alec and Brandon have had a life-long friendship and have shared many family memories, including but not limited to, pushing dump trucks around tracks that our dads made us out of sand at the beach, skateboarding together as teens, having game nights with Becca and Aagje, and that one strange memory they can't seem to explain when they got their haircuts together and ended up in a gun shop with Papa Gene. Alec is very lucky to have Brandon as a cousin and life-long friend.
Jessica Cole
Bridesmaid
Becca met Jess through Kate in 2015. Kate and Jess went to college together and one day, Kate introduced Becca to a group of her college friends. With very similar senses of humor, Becca and Jess immediately hit it off. Since then, they have had over 10 years worth of friendship filled with endless laughs, travels, weekend trips, and jam-packed agendas. You can always count on Jess to show up for you, get shit done, and make you laugh along the way. Her love and dedication to her friends and family are unmatched - she is always the first to initiate the "let's catch up" plans. Becca is lucky to have a friend like Jessica, who is committed to living life to the fullest and making the most of every moment together.
Michael Goodwin
Groomsman
Michael is Alec's childhood next-door neighbor and longest friend. Alec and Michael grew up together biking, roller blading, and hunting lightning bugs with wiffle ball bats. As teenagers they bonded through their shared love of skateboarding. They pushed each other to try harder tricks and called each other's parents when they broke bones. These days, Alec and Michael enjoy weekly discord hangouts to check in on each other's lives, watch shows, and play games. Alec is grateful to be able to call Michael his best friend after all these years.
Erin Gahn
Bridesmaid
Becca and Erin met in 2022 working as SLPs at Valley Health. Early in their friendship, they quickly realized the similarities between the two of them. They both grew up in Pennsylvania - Erin in Elk County, where Becca went camping with her family every year as a kid. Becca and Erin also both went to WVU for speech pathology, only one year apart, but never met. They then both ended up in Winchester, Virginia, and just so happened to choose the same company to work as SLPs. While their similar backgrounds led them to meet, Becca and Erin's similar worldview, outlook on life, and senses of humor have provided love and comfort to each other's lives in Winchester. In Erin you'll find a warm, loving, and thoughtful friend who is willing to do anything for you (she even helped Alec plan the proposal!).
Tyler Halfhill
Groomsman
Tyler is Becca's brother. Known as the king of dad jokes, the connoisseur of terrible puns, and the life of the party. Tyler and Becca bond over their love of games, podcasts, The Office, and their family. Alec and Tyler have settled in as future brother-in-laws, frequently bonding over their love of oscar-nominated films, and eating gobbleritos together at Mad Mex in Pittsburgh. Tyler is a loving and supportive brother, always willing to lend an ear and a hand, give advice, and play games with Becca when no one else will. Tyler is the ultimate story-teller, and a guaranteed good time! Beware of puns if you get too close!
Natalie Morrison
Bridesmaid
Natalie is Becca's cousin. While over 10 years apart in age, Becca and Natalie spent lots of time together growing up. Anytime Becca's parents would babysit, Becca and Natalie would hang out, like the sisters neither of them had. If you see baby pictures of Becca and Natalie at the same age, you might not know who's who! Now, every year, at every holiday dinner, Becca and Natalie threaten to riot if they don't sit next to each other at the dinner table. Natalie's calm and warm presence shine through when you meet her. Her kind and empathetic nature are apparent, and Becca is lucky to call her family.
