Question

How do I get there?

Answer

There is NO phone service or internet at the Ranch. Please plan ahead with Google Maps. The road to the cabin from the highway is a ONE-LANE ROAD! Make sure you have good car clearance and are driving slowly. Or you can park at the overlook to carpool or walk the mile in. Driving From Bozeman: -Head towards Livingston on I-90. Exit in Livingston and drive towards Gardiner/North Entrance/Mammoth -Enter the park and take a left on Grand Loop Road going towards Tower Junction -At Tower Junction take a left on NE Entrance Rd towards Silvergate/Cook City -Pass through Silver Gate and Cook City -17 Miles from the NE Entrance, take a right on L-T ranch road (200ft past the scenic turnout). There should be a sign. -Pass through the gate. In .8 miles, you will drive over a bridge; after that, it is the first driveway on your left. Driving From Billings: -Head on I-90 towards Bozeman -Exit at Laurel and head south on 212 -Right after Bridger take a right on 72 -Continue on 72 as it enters Wyoming and turns into 120 -20 miles after the Wyoming border, take a right on the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway (296) -Continue 46 miles over the pass until you hit the Beartooth Highway. Take a left towards Yellowstone/Cody -1 mile after you turn (or after the second guard rail on your left), take a left on L-T Ranch Road. -Pass through the gate. In .8 miles, you will drive over a bridge; after that, it is the first driveway on your left. Driving From Cody: -Leave Cody on Highway 120 going North West -After 16.5 miles, turn Left on the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway (296) -Continue 46 miles over the pass until you hit the Beartooth Highway. Take a left towards Yellowstone/Cody -1 mile after you turn (or after the second guard rail on your left), take a left on L-T Ranch Road. -Pass through the gate. In .8 miles, you will drive over a bridge; after that, it is the first driveway on your left.

Question

Shuttle Pick up and Information

Answer

We will have a shuttle service on the day of the 24th. Please do not drive into the property on Saturday and use the shuttle instead. The shuttle will pick people up at Silver Gate, Cook City, and the overlook by the ranch road entrance. Pick-up time and more details to come.

Question

Camping Information

Answer

Please confirm with Alex and Alec if you wish to camp on the property. -If you do camp, make sure you have a plan for food storage (we will have a shed to store food if needed) this is grizzly bear country so make sure you are being safe!! -If you are driving a car please come on Friday. We are ONLY having the shuttle drive the road on Saturday because it is a one lane road. If you do come Saturday you can hop on the shuttle with your camp stuff that day. Or camp at Pilot Creek (the shuttle pickup). -We will have outhouses and water stations on the property. -No smoking or fires. This time of year often has extreme fire danger. Please be careful and also avoid driving into tall grass with a hot car. -We will have someone on the property on Friday to direct you to camping spots.

Question

What is the L-T?

Answer

The L-T (pronounced L bar T) is a small group of cabins that have been in Alex's family since her great grandmother purchased it after she visited in the early 1900's. She ended up selling the big parcel but saved around 6 acres that run along the Clark Fork of the Yellowstone river to pass down to her family.

Question

Where should we fly into?

Answer

There are multiple airports that you can fly into! -Bozeman, MT (where X&C live) is about a 3 1/2 hour drive through Yellowstone to get to the Ranch -Billings, MT about a 2 3/4 hour drive to get to the Ranch. -Cody, WY about a 1 1/2 hour drive to get to the Ranch. (this is a small airport) There is also a shuttle service that can be hired to pick you up from Billings or Cody from the Airport. They are the same service that we are hiring to shuttle for the wedding. They also provide driving Yellowstone tours and such. https://codyshuttle.com/

Question

What to wear

Answer

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and fashionable! The weather can be variable at that time of year (rain, sun, cold, etc.) So, make a plan to handle everything that might come our way! We will be on the grass all evening so wear appropriate shoes.
